Awesome..
Werewolves > Vampires
Not that I didn't already know that Condit would win, I just thought I'd throw that out there.
per Ariel:
As just reported on @UFCTonight, @SpiderAnderson is coming to Montreal to watch the GSP-Condit fight in person next week. Oh, docta.
Could be a walk into the cage after it is over to make the mega fight official.. Assuming GSP wins. I think GSP has already agreed to the Silva fight at a catchweight..
Hopefully...
I'm excited for this one. I'm a Condit fan, but it'd be nice to see GSP live up to his potential.
Serious question: What happens when Condit wins? Does Silva, um, continue to fight no name bums? Does GSP get an immediate rematch? I hate how everyone, including the UFC, has already got GSP winning this. If I had $1,000.00 to blow, I'd put it on Condit in a heartbeat.
Other than the layoff why is Condit going to win this fight? GSP takes so much pride in being the best i firmly believe if he felt less than what he was in camp he would have retired. GSP has beat better strikers and better JJ fighters. GSP just needs to be healthy and shake off some rust and he'll take this fight where he wants it and handle Condit. The only reason Rory lost to Condit was he basically gassed out and Condit got a gift stoppage from the ref. GSP never gasses and has all the tools he needs to win this fight assuming he is healthy,
which i am..
GSP in terms of explosion and the type of training he is doing looks exactly the same as he did pre-injury. Hopefully that translates to the cage..
Thank you for not even coming close to answering the question. I did enjoy the slobbering slurpish noises coming out of your mouth while you tried to type and inhale GSP's cooter at the same time. Gods, you're so predictably gay.
Really it's just always such a pleasure to talk to you...![]()
I know, I know... It's serious.
So, do you want to take a stab at the original question? What happens if Condit wins?
Probably a rematch with GSP or GSP fights Diaz and Condit defends against someone like Kampman. Silva probably waits to see how Bisping/Vitor plays out or has to fight Weidman..
Now care to tell me how Condit is going to win? His best win is Diaz in a fight he hit and ran all night. He won't beat GSP like that and his TDD is lousy.. GSP has never been sub'd from top position and beat better JJ fighters from the ground..
You can talk all you want about how good GSP looks in training, etc. but I've read and seen too many MMA fighters talk about "ring rust" and how it's a real thing. GSP has never had to face a striker like Condit, and while you and most of the Diaz gots fans will claim he was running, Condit is evasive and smart. I don't know if I buy what you're saying about his TDD being suspect, but I do know that he's hard to hit and hard to land combinations on. As for BJJ, it's a wash imo. GSP is the better wrestler, imo, and the only chance he has of winning is a 5 round lay and pray. But, GSP isn't known for doing that... right?
Condit, TKO round 4.
Don't lump me in with all the Diaz nuts, i said and am correct in saying that the stick and move/run strategy will NOT work with GSP. GSP will cut him off and take him down. And GSP will land his own shots as unlike Diaz he is not a straight boxer.
Then you have not seen his fight with Rory.. You can watch it in this thread..I don't know if I buy what you're saying about his TDD being suspect,
Much bigger problem for Diaz then GSP since all Nick wanted to do was strike and GSP will look to strike and change levels for the TD..but I do know that he's hard to hit and hard to land combinations on.
Pure JJ skill may be a wash but it is more about how it will be functionally used in this fight. GSP will be on top with Condit trying work a sub from his back or scrambling to get up. GSP has never been sub'd from that spot and he ripped the guards of Penn and Fitch to pieces. So Condit has to scramble up and get the KO..As for BJJ, it's a wash imo.
Duh...GSP is the better wrestler, imo
Well a win is a win and given the layoff a UD is likely.. Please don't whine if the fight goes that way...and the only chance he has of winning is a 5 round lay and pray. But, GSP isn't known for doing that... right?
Condit, TKO round 4.
MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)
- Champ Georges St-Pierre vs. interim champ Carlos Condit (welterweight- le unification)
- Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann
- Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont
- Constantinos Philippou vs. Nick Ring
- Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza
Thanks for the reply, seriously. I disagree with you very much, but that's what makes the world go 'round I suppose.
I hope you don't whine when Condit breaks GSP's face.
This card should be better.. UFC just keeps watering them down..
MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

Long layoff will likely mean a UD for GSP. People will and moan about it.. Oh well...
Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann
Tough fight to call..
Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont
Constantinos Philippou vs. Nick Ring
Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza
- Champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Champ Carlos Condit - 4th round TKO. GSPee gasses and get's his face broken.
- Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann - Hendricks isn't that good, for sakes. He's been lucky thus far. Kampmann is a brawler, and is going to show Beardo how it's done.
- Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont - Never bet against The Filth.
- Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza - Warm spot for old WEC guys, nothing more.
- Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara - Had to change my picks because of Ring, but that's fine, I really like watching Sakara win. RNC first round.
