id feel better if Blake were playing tbh
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo Lakers PG Steve Blake is out Tues vs San Antonio with an abdominal strain and listed as day-to-day. Vet Chris Duhon is the likely starter
@jadande: And by the way, the Lakers say Steve Blake (abdominal strain) won't play vs. Spurs Tues. Steve Nash already out.
id feel better if Blake were playing tbh
Lakers have a new coach and zero bench, and now zero PG's.
No excuse for losing this one.
they still have Howard and Gasol tbh
lol so who's playing point tomorrow?
The Spurs depth should really help this game.
It will be interesting to see how Pop approaches Dwight on defense.
Hopefully this isn't one of those 60-33 rebounding nights in favor of Lakers.
Would be nice if Splitter could have a much need rejuvenation game, don't want to play too small vs Lakers front line.
What's Tony Parker's status for the game?
I post this in the injury update thread:
Maximum Sports @MaxSportsSA Spurs Tom James says the players battling the flu are all feeling better; close to 100 percent. D. Blair listed as probable tomorrow vs. LA.
Including Parker? Nice. . .if we have our full team, we should be able to take one @LA. Will be a good win to add.
Blake doesn't want to play because of SJax, he's still afraid.

I remember that one last year.
as long as pop doesnt start blair we should be fine
howards gonna have a 20+ rebound game no matter what
if blair starts were looking at a 30+
diaw starting on gasol and duncan on howard with splitter off the bench would work best
dont think they need to start splitter this time
if toilet paper doesnt have a good game vs this poverty defense then he needs his ass traded
If Pop's smart, he holds Blair out for one more game and claims it's for precautionary reasons. Then, he starts Splitter and utilizes a three big rotation. He also avoids having Splitter guard Howard, so long as both Duncan and Diaw aren't in foul trouble. If, for whatever reason a fourth big is needed for spot minutes, then it should be Jackson (but only when Jamison is playing PF).
This.
Except I would get Diaw guarding Dwight since Dwight to start since he bangs so hard in the paint Timmy might pick up fouls.
No, Bonner will guard Dwight and give him 6 fouls.![]()
I really wish I could see this game live, but my current workload won't let me. Good were the times the past years when I watched nearly all games live.
Lakers got their wins against not really good teams (also Warriors missed Bogut and Kings missed Cousins), so I still think they are at the beginning of workings things out. The Spurs had two days of rest so I really expect them to win this one as all hands are on deck![]()
Darius Morris and Jodie Meeks…Unstoppable…![]()
Don't get too excited about no LA PGs; with the kind of individual talent they have, they don't need a lot of zippy playmaking to get looks.
Definitely should be a Spurs victory though. LA in disarray.
This game should be quite interesting.![]()
i'd love to see a hack a dwight in the regular season tbh![]()
Dwight will dominate that AARP frontline
If the Spurs find themselves getting down big or needing a run, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pop go to it.
So have old man Timmy guard the faster/stronger Dwight Howard the whole time? Doesn't sound smart to me. Splitter played decent against Howard last year, so I'm sure he's up to the task.
No need to play it like a playoff game, this early in the season.
