Don't know about ya'll but I spent the better part of today LMAO over this and D Cousins suspension. I cant believe the Lakers are expecting their ancient old players to play the 7 second shot. I have never seen it work in the NBA and dont think it will be any different in LA. As for Cousins, it would be best to leave announcers like Sean alone. After all he is 6'8 and wont cower like a regular announcer.

The guy who should be happiest is Pop. PJ has owned him but he has owned D'Antoni. Seriously everything keeps happening in the Spurs favor. The Lakers start off bad then hire D'Antoni. The Thunder trade their difference maker in Harden. I think the Spurs are guaranteed to come out of the West now if they don't mess it up.

Don't forget Tim Duncan playing like he was the league MVP and the Spurs being 6-1 even with all these screwups in rebounding and turnovers.

    Not worried about the Clippers
A healthy CP3 is one of the few point guards in the league that can literally outplay parker game in and game out. Add their athletic bigs and shooters, and yeah, I'd call them a team to be reckoned with

I just don't see how can you say that the Lakers' talent fits D'antoni's system. No speed, no reliable 3pt shooting, two elite bigmen (so no smallball), old bodies (bad for the short rotations that he loves and the up-tempo game).

Lakers will be good because they have just too much talent and D'antoni is an upgrade over Brown (if only for eliminating the princenton offense), but I can think of many coaches that would have been a better fit with this Lakers squad.

Heard loud and clear and certainly far better it's now D'Antoni rather then squinty eyed WWE Phil owning Pop again for years to come.
However, Popped had prime Duncan GNob Parker Bowen Horry etc bailing him out vs Phx all those years.
    No such luxury now.

Ira Winderman ‏@IraHeatBeat Popovich, of course, had great pregame line, saying bringing back Phil Jackson would have been like trying to put Soviet Union back together
