I've always loved the Deftones, it's unfortunately they somehow got associated with Korn and Limp Bizkit as goty ass "nu metal" because they're nothing like those bands. Listening to it right now and so far it's great.

Haha, I first started listening to them in 94 back when I heard 7 words on a cmj sampler ....oh and chino rocked highlights in the day. I know you love it bro.

The first Korn album was great though. One of the best of the 90's.

yeah. i've been wanting to check this one out. heard a lot of good things about it. didn't care much for their last one. i loved saturday night wrist. i think it's their best imho. the briliiance of bob ezrin. i'm tempted to check them out tomorrow at the palladium but i'm on the fence about it. poor fence.

I find Goon Squad and Romantic Dreams most appealing but the other tracks are still ing awesome

Romantic Dreams pulls you in, changes sounds throughout the track in such a beautiful manner. ear orgasms tbh.

Poltergeist is so catchy, sounds like the older Deftones mixed with the more recent Deftones sound.

So is this a buy? I listened to some of the songs on youtube and they were pretty good. It's a shame this doesn't get played on the radio. The radio stations are too busy playing Mumford & Sons, Fun., and Passion Pit.

I liked the Deftones when I was in high school but some of those albums after high school were so-so in my opinion so I kinda lost interest. The Edge in DFW is a joke. They don't rarely play good music anymore. It's usually pop indie rock or emo folk . They don't rarely play Shinedown and 3 Days Grace anymore. Just my opinion.
