another sweeping generalization based on an anecdote/youtube. strong.
another sweeping generalization based on an anecdote/youtube. strong.
No generalization. I'd take the illegal aliens that I have seen first hand, who are hard-working, SPECIFICALLY over the type of people shown in this video. The former would make better American citizens than the latter.
once you say "type," you're in the vicinity of a generalization.
A person who says they'd rather have a free check than a job -- I can do without.
Darrin posts another YouTube.
more whining about the lazy, undeserving poor? heard.
ChumpDumper posts a sentence with a subject and a predicate.
the youtube you posted does not reflect that the biggest recipients of welfare in the US are white women. anecdotes can lead one amiss of the truth. showing a few black guys seeking Obama bucks paints a partial and misleading picture of the situation.
White woman are OK. Black guys? Not so much.
admittedly, the "average white/female face" is based on the totality of public relief transfers from government to individuals. more restrictive definitions of welfare show other results.
The race of the lazy welfare recipient is irrelevant -- I was talking about the mentality.
But you guys were quick to go there. For some odd reason...
But if you think the video is racist, you can write a strongly-worded email to Alexandra Pelosi and Bill Maher.
you picked it to illustrate your point, whatever that was.
so, it was a generalization. appreciate the confirmation.
nothing odd about it. you don't post in a vacuum, and your general preoccupation with race can be found with a couple of clicks. But you guys were quick to go there. For some odd reason...
Appears you and chump are the preoccupied ones.
as always, you're the real victim
:drama
Where in this thread do I play victim? I just expressed a personal preference.
It's the only compelling reason to let illegals here, but I say we need to do a 1:1 and ship our lazy people to the other side.
You play the victim in every thread.
Poor, oppressed Darrin.
I'd take these people any day over most people who work on Wall Street.
(Assuming the video shows what I think it shows... I didn't actually watch it.)
