That's more than the percentage that support gay marriage or legalizing pot (at least in this poll).

fake poll numbers, this subject has been beat to death and the american people adamantly oppose amnesty. i also read an article today on cnn stating that 57% of americans express anti hispanic sentiment. how can it be both ways?

I'd support amnesty and a path to citizenship if in exchange the border was secured to make sure we aren't having this same discussion 10 years from now.

we already tried amnesty years ago under dumbass reagan and all it did was send the wrong message and illegal immigration skyrocketed. and here we are again. so if you don't want to have this discussion in 10 years, don't support amnesty.

there's no natural difference between illegal and legal immigrants. it's often just the paperwork that makes the difference but it doesn't mean , and that's often the reason why illegals feel harshly done on by the US government. you can't simply ban a certain group of people while showing the greenlight to the others who're of the same origin, blatant discrimination imho. i ain't pro illegals so don't get me wrong, i mean if you wanna get rid of illegals you should exile them all immigrants as a whole, no matter illegal or legal

imo the most fanatical anti-illegal advocates are also immigrants themselves but have earned legal status, because they've paid for the "citizenship" and they would think it unfair if the government grants illegals the same paperwork for free. you'll never find a balance point between illegal and legal immigrants so just get rid of them all, instead of exposing yourself in the crossfire between illegal and legal immigrants tbh

    post hoc fallacy.

Illegal immigration skyrocketed for reasons that had nothing to do with amnesty, and everything to do with economics. If you want to look at demographics and economic factors it isn't hard to find.

Sorry, the data you have built your opinion on is erroneous, and logically flawed.

dunno how much is the cash in hand labour economy is, but if u can tax those guys and limit access to social services like healthcare costs, then u can weigh the opportunity costs and benefit received if its worth it...

then again there are some immigrants who want a new life and assimilate into new country and lifestyle, while u still have wankers born and bred with a silverspoon continue to be menaces of society that are better off deported or kicked to the curb like the rest who dont contribute to society

at the end of the day its not what can ur country do for you, what can u do for the country....

Illegal immigrants need to quit their ing. If you cross the border of Iran or North Korea illegally, you can get major jail time. Be thankful.

Laugh your smug ass off, you can't have it both ways liberals

"52% openly express anti-Hispanic sentiments. The numbers go up when measured by an implicit racial at udes test. That is, when the survey takes into account the "dog-whistles," the new buzz word for code language only those "tuned in" will hear, anti-black sentiment is 56% and anti-Hispanic sentiment is 57%."

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/01/opinion/brazile-race-sununu/index.html?iref=allsearch

57% are anti hispanic, but the majority want mass amnesty for millions? that doesn't make logical sense.

Not every illegal immigrant is from Mexico. Just sayin'. Couldn't you say that it's racist or stereotyping if someone assumes that every illegal immigrant is Mexican? Where is the outrage? Where is justice?

No one will ever be serious about illegal immigrants until they pass laws against the big companies that benefit the most from their labor.
