5 and 1
Parker's TS% is now around 43-44%, an atrocious number, down by approximately 10% from last year..
He's the best player on the team, and his scoring or assisting is involved in over 27% of the team's offensive possessions, thus the team will continue to struggle while he's slumping..Duncan and a healthy/fit Ginobili are the only other players on the roster that can consistently create offense..
Cause for concern?..
Look at his #'s from last year early on they were pretty bad. Not concerned at all, he'll be fine.

trade his ass. fire pop. get rid of Manu. sell the team. burn down the arena.
he was sick..wtf?
I'm concerned, tbh. Perhaps a package of him and Bonner can land us a rotation big. It's clear at this stage Patty Mills is the better player anyways.
Maybe we can throw Pop in with the deal too. He's obviously not getting through to the team anymore imo
Gotta wait till December to land D'Antoni though
He's sick, still the best player on this team
who is saying trade Parker?..I'm one of the biggest Parker defenders on ST..
Most people here have questioned the offense's struggles, I'm pointing out the source..if the best player on the team struggles, the team will take the same route..
That's true. Mills running SSOL with Green, Kawhi, Duncan and Big Baby...we would dominate the league fwiw
Don't know about dominating, but it would be fun!
TP is bored with the regular season rest him til the playoffs
taking the homer glasses off, tp has been a step slow at the start of the season. obviously this game shouldn't count against him. and unlike ginobili, parker is still relatively healthy so hopefully he can recover.
Parker was miserable to watch tonight I'm glad he's sick at least there's somewhat of an excuse. My beef is with Pop, wtf was with his rotations? He played Parker FAR too many minutes. He consistently took out Mills when he was blazing hot, he took out Splitter once he started playing well, and he played Blair crazy minutes when he showed time and time again he was a major liability on both ends of the floor.
Since the Spurs are 5-1 while he's struggling, then when he goes back to normal, they'll never lose another game
Anyway, sample size is too small for stats to mean anything yet. If he has 2-3 hot shooting games in a row, his overall percentage will jump 5 percentage points or more.
The Spurs team has been sick for about a week now, so everyone should just be thankful they aren't dropping games right and left.
And we would lead the league in turnovers too! Probably have a good shot at the all-time season turnover record.
I don't know that he is their best player, for the simple fact that I'm not sure the Spurs have one. From '08 on, it's been in a state of flux. Right now, once more, Duncan is clearly their best player and if he can somehow maintain anything close to this level for the duration, then he'll continue to be. No amount of offensive wizardry from Parker and Ginobili can match his all around dominance.
As far as Parker goes, I'm not really concerned. If this continues for another week or two, I will be. But right now, I'll chalk it up to him being bored with the regular season and thinking the team is good enough that he doesn't have to go all out for them to win a lot of the time.
With Parker and manu struggling bad we are 5-1. Just wait till they pick it up, which is inevitable
I am more worried about Manu tbhManu is shooting 33%FG with a 44%TS, 16% from 3 and he has the worst PER of the team with 9.6 (Nando is worse but he is not part of the rotation). I don't know what's going on with him but I have never seen Manu playing so bad like this. Both Manu and Parker have to improve a lot. At least it's only 6 games so far. I would be much more worried if we had something like this going on in the end of the regular season.
Unless I forgot something, TP had one bad game against the clips, he was sick against sac and shouldn't have played anyway. I'm not sure it's time to say that TP is struggling tbh
One of the worst games I've ever seen Parker play, tbh..
Completely outplayed by a fat PG, in addition to a Westbrook-like 4th..
