Danny Green's defense and Manu Ginobili's offense are going to cost us any legitimate shot at a Finals appearance if they keep their up.
Don't let the last 5 mins erase the rest of the game... the Knicks came out firing on all cylinders and the Spurs matched them blow for blow... after the pathetic showing against the Lakers, this was great to see...
Sure, the end of the game will cloud a lot of what happened out there, but the Spurs actually improved defensively as the game wore on, including a 22 pt 2nd quarter and a 17 pt 3rd quarter, where the bench played a big role.
Wheels did fall off in the 4th, but I think there's some good stuff to build on here despite the loss.

We don't have a shot at the Finals, and it has nothing to do with Manu or Danny, tbh... but regardless, Knicks walked in as one of the hottest teams in the league and I think we gave them a good fight...
The reason I personally got upset is exactly because we played great, while the bad coaching cost us a game. At this stage of the season, you can easily forget a game like the one against Clippers since the team is just out-of-sorts.
But this one has some indications of what we can do during playoffs when the game is up-for-grab. Tony, Manu and especially Pop disappoint us.
Yeah. Spurs and Clippers are the two teams that have the strongest shots at a Finals appearance in the west unless the Spurs keep Westbricking their way out of the game in crunch time.

Are you really including Kurt Thomas and Camby in your group of old men? Those 2 guys didn't even play tonight. Tyson Chandler (30 years old, 33 minutes, 13 points)
39, 38, and 30 aren't unreasonable ages to cite, tbh. Sheed, Kidd, and Chandler all played major minutes and scored in double digits on efficient shooting (>50% from the field).
