LOSING this game, either means we cant beat a full strength monkeyball team....

but there is a correlation between cp3 and teams that peaks too early, where injuries will catch up to them derail the team off course tanking out whatever contender run

As Bruno mentioned before, the bench play is a big deal right now for LA vs SA. LA is deep and is performing well especially with Jamal Crawford absolutely lighting it up. I will be very interested to see if Jordan can keep up his level of play. If he has truly made a leap in his game as he's shown so far this year, LAC is a legit contender to do serious damage in the West. Still highly skeptical that Jordan will be a double digit scorer consistently but he is playing hard, running the floor and using his unreal athleticism to score at a high clip. He's also protecting the rim like crazy.

Paul Garcia PS ‏@24writer Coach Pop said he doesn't like to tell Jackson what to do. I don’t want to piss Jack off. I don’t tell Jack to do anything" #Spurs #Clippers

Paul Garcia PS ‏@24writer This is how Pop deals with Jack: "I say ok, Timmy, Manu go talk to him.” #Spurs #Clippers

Pop says DeJuan Blair will start tonight against Clips, for no particular reason other than that's what he wants to do.

    Paul Garcia PS ‏@24writer
Coach Pop on Stephen Jackson: “I’m not going to play Jack 40 minutes, because Jack’s about 43 or 44." #Spurs #Clippers

Coach Pop on Danny Green: “Danny Green’s turned into a pretty good player, we've gone to him a few times.” #Spurs #Clippers

The Clippers depth is vastly overrated. The back court isn't, with Crawford and Bledsoe, but the front line is pathetic. Odom looks done, Barnes is a fringe rotation player and Hollins and Turiaf are scrubs, who wouldn't crack most teams rotations.

When Billups and Hill return, they'll be overloaded on the perimeter. Guys like Green and Barnes, who have contributed to their start, will be riding the pine and one or two of Butler, Billups, Hill, Crawford and Bledsoe, will have their minutes squeezed and that will inevitably lead to chemistry issues.

The difference between the Spurs and Clippers is, the Spurs have depth, while the Clippers have too many guys.

That sounds almost identical to the Spurs tbh...lots of talented guards/sf's but big men an issue.

Splitter and Diaw are light years better than any of the Clippers backup bigs, though.

Also, Spurs perimeter guys, other than Jackson, weren't big name guys used to being featured scorers for the majority of their career, so they handle their role better than some of the Clippers guys likely will.
