War on Christmas is just another LIE to rouse the Bible-thumping rabble.
No, you ignorant hack. It is a reaction of the religious subset of our society to having customs and practices that have been historically, tacitly accepted, suddenly questioned and sometimes subsequently removed from what has been their norm.

Its a fairly normal reaction that should be expected tbh.

What makes it twice as laughable, is the atheists are too ing stupid to point this fact out. Instead, they have to be evil, and try to deny a holiday everyone loves.
This just shows how out of touch you really are. This is the single most heard thing when a bag athiest is trying to "Pwn" a douchbag Christian. The bag athiest is usually the most uneducated of the bunch (just like the douchbag christian) and have to hold on to this because they are likely only athiest because it is "cool". However, I would be willing to bet that 75% of people who claim atheism know this fact.

On the one hand, I understand the argument that religious decorations shouldn't be on government owned public property. On the other hand, I really don't care. I'm not religious, I don't feel threatened by Christmas decorations (I love Christmas), or any other holiday for that matter. Until the government tries to make me go to church, I'm cool.

Personally, I think there is a difference between secular Christmas stuff and religious Christmas stuff. Trees and Santas seem like they should be OK but not nativity scenes.

A Year in Jail for Not Believing in God?

In Kentucky, a homeland security law requires the state’s citizens to acknowledge the security provided by the Almighty God--or risk 12 months in prison.

the Kentucky state Supreme Court has refused to review its cons utionality, despite clearly violating the First Amendment’s separation of church and state.

The law requires that plaques celebrating the power of the Almighty God be installed outside the state Homeland Security building--and carries a criminal penalty of up to 12 months in jail if one fails to comply. The plaque’s inscription begins with the assertion, “The safety and security of the Commonwealth cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God.”

Tom Riner, a Baptist minister and the long-time Democratic state representative, sponsored the law.

“The church-state divide is not a line I see,”

Confederate ignorant racist "Christian" bubba Southern Baptist Bible-thumpers. at them, except for the jail time. self-annointed Cons ution-violating assholes who "Love America", except when their God whispers in their ear and tells them to fnck it.

WC, I think the amount of atheists trying to ruin Christmas is a very small but vocal minority. Most atheists you'd meet probably take part in the holiday.
But the truth is the very people who are trying to remove Xmas from public schools etc... are atheist so the topic is true.

Eh, in some sense. I would agree that atheists who are trying to stop people from saying "Christmas" have a giant bug up their ass. I just don't think they're nearly as prevalent as some religious folk think they are.

Same could be said the other way around. I've met people who think the majority of Christians deny science and hate gays. Majority of Christians don't give a , more about the former than latter I will admit

This topic is like saying people who want more gun control don't own guns themselves and that might be true. But there are others who do own a gun and support gun control.

Public schools endorsing religion is expressly illegal.

Furthermore, the principle of separation of church and state was laid out hundreds of years ago, discussed at length by the people who founded this country, and confirmed as law by the Supreme Court.

Then why do the schools honor Christmas by allowing the students and teachers off on the 25th of December what is so special about that day?

    anybody praying anywhere is "free".

teaching religion as a spiritual activity (as opposed to Comparative Religions as academic study, which the "Christians" would about) in public schools is not allowed.
