I can hope someone picks me up for work tomorrow if my car doesn't start, but I have faith that my car will start.

I have inductive reasoning to conclude my car will start. That doesn't mean it will. I have no evidence, deductive or otherwise, that a god exists. To live as if I do is hope, just as I have no evidence that anyone will pick me up. At least though, with my example, there are people I can fall back on and I will know in a short amount of time if my hopes are realized. Religious faith will never be realized while you are living and that's about all that matters on a forum since none of us can really talk about what happens after we die.

If humans came from relatives of monkeys then why do relatives of monkeys and monkeys in general still exist? The evolution does not make sense in that case. However, if you say that birds and lizards came from dinosaurs then that does make sense since dinosaurs are gone and birds and lizards share a lot of similar characteristics with dinosaurs.

Why wouldn't apes still exist? It's not like humans evolved from chimpanzees, so chimps still being around makes perfect sense.

Where at, and in what context?

The context is that of faith in someone to do what they say they will do. The way you and many others use faith is to believe that something exists because someone told you it exists. That's faith in man, not faith in God. Faith in God can only occur if you know God, and since God hasn't revealed himself to the world, no one knows God. There's no way to have faith in the existence of something. It either exists or it does not exist. Faith is about trust, not about blind acceptance of the supernatural.

Since that hurdle has perplexed man for over a century, man has morphed faith to be the simple belief that a certain god exists. Prior to that, it was simply accepted that this god existed, but the faith in this god was the goal, to believe his will was paramount to yours.

Don't try to play off the onus of proof by inserting a requirement to just believe and equivocating that to faith.
