pulp making excuses for Duncan getting Bronze I see. Bbbb-bb-but I though he carried "scrubs" to a championship in the NBA?
Wasn't that the year Kobe was busy with his rape charges but used "the terrorists" as his excuse not to play?
Duncan hopeless outta pop system
I don't think Kobe is pretentious. I think he suffers from a narcissistic personality disorder, basically a sociopath. The type of people that make everything about them, manipulate everyone to get their way, usually end up violating someone's personal space via raping or butt ing someone when they say no.
That's true, but I can't find a pic of Kobe like this one:
that mid.

I am pretty damn sure Duncan made Pops system what it is... I mean that dude is a decent player you know.Yes you can find a pic of Kobe crying on the net or one of him in some white outfit looking mighty gay! I am sure you can. The one with the WHITE HAT ON!
or maybe pop made Duncan better than he truly is by puttin him in a role he good at
Come on man stop it, Duncan has been good in SA since day one. POP is a HOF coach no doubt but I could say maybe Shaq made Kobe better during his prime or Phil made him better with the triangle as well if we want to go there, but TALENT is talent, you can't teach the knack for cluth or the leadership some have, it's natural! Lets not take away from HOF players now because we don't like them or hate at times.
I fully expect that you are in a face video where the piston pusher is wearing a Kobe mask.
Let me stop you Laker fan...Let's get one thing straight about Tim Duncan ....
Tim Duncan was the leader of the US National Bronze Team in the 2004 Olympics.
Duncan got exposed on the international stage and was an embarrassment to our Nation... he didn't like FIBA because it was too physical and he was intimidated by the presence of 7'4" Roberto Duenas. Duncan looked like he wanted out from the first game. Dude was a total failure on the Olympic stage...a quitter and seemingly borderline turncoat on his country...he said and I've quoted many times before that he's never play for Team USA again and had nothing to teach other players interested in international play...now if this isn't the Apex of selfishness then nothing is...
If Kobe bothered to show up along with that got Garnett it would have been a gold then too. A lot of those players stayed home because they were scared less and made excuses not to go.
Clippers' trophy case (in HD):
He does inspire others to get traded pretty well. Gotta give him that.
^ Translation = Duncan wanted to ride Kobe's coattails to a gold medal....
Not sure why you guys are so negative about it. A reporter asked him how he inspired, and he answered. I think it's legit that Kobe did pass down some of this work ethic to a younger generation.
One thing the youngin's can never learn from Kobe is how to attract a dominant front line, use it up, spit them out, and then pretend the team success was all due to himself.
NBA le > Gold Medal
like a gold medal means anything![]()
he gotta plenty of talent but im sayin maybe what make him top 10 insteada top 10-15 be pop's system
Just fact checking here, but are you suggesting that with a 4 point deficit, Spain was closer than when it was a 2 point deficit at 91-89?
At 91-89 early in the 4th quarter, that's when Kobe took over, and helped account for 14 of the next 17 points until the Wade three pointer.
It's okay if you think Wade's three was the most clutch. But I have a hard time understanding why you think 4 points is closer than 2 points.
hey sweet leets...let Kool put it in perspective for ya...
Kobe 5
TOSB 4
Kobe 2 Gold Medals
TOSB 1 Bronze
what I love most about Kobe's at ude is that he feels he knows it all...I love this:
myAsked what it’s like to be the old guy on the team, Bryant said, “I’m where everybody wants to get to. I just happen to be still playing.”
“Can you learn anything from these young guys?” he was asked.
Bryant: “No.”
“You know everything?”
Bryant: “I don’t know if I know it all, but I know more than they do.”

What most of the pee-ons in this thread (like ambchang, for starters) don't get--and will never understand--is that Kobe is legendary because he's played 17+ years in the league on the 2nd most notable sports franchise (behind the Yankees) and has done pretty much whatever he's wanted to do. He ran the most dominant center out of town b/c he wouldn't cede the limelight to Kobe. He did the same to the GOAT coach--only for him to come back to him with apologies.
He does anything he wants to do and doesn't give a what people think. He's basically living the life that everyone here dreams of living.![]()
