They should just say it was photoshopped or it was another Crawford as a ref. sure that's probably a lie but Stern has made his career off lying, he'd probably respect that.

Honestly, it doesn't look photoshopped to me. The EXIF data doesn't reveal any traces of it as far as I can tell, and the 17 definitely looks native to the shirt based on lighting conditions, etc. Joey wears number 17. And why would they be shooting a random, bald ref who isn't Joey Crawford?
They were off the clock. What ever happened to free speech? (in the context of professional sports and specifically basketball; I don't want or intend to start a political debate)

The number looks pretty blurry to me. The only other reasonable explanation is that it's one of those ty iron-on logos that you sometimes see marketed for making tshirts at home. I don't see what's so scandalous about someone showing up to a Halloween party at an NBA player's house dressed as a ref and then the players joke like they want to shoot him.
ditto. we saw some of the pics a month ago, we all had a good laugh at them, most if not all of us wish we were there. this pic was never shown before until now. very very strange.
Stern does not give a about free speech. He already fined us 250k and we didn't even break a rule.
On realgm someone is saying its probably a fake cuz at the Spurs halloween party, someone dressed as a NFL replacement ref..
Damn the Spurs might be in some deep doo doo once this pic hits the waves. I just checked and it's already making its rounds on Google. And with this and the fine, the Spurs are suddenly the Bad Boys of the NBA
Whatever, at least we're getting media attention now...........and everyone feels the same way anyway. If the league is gonna fine them, that's just a damn shame. You can damn well bet Joey Crawford is gonna ref every spurs playoff game.
