ACC will be the new Big East - incredibly strong basketball, good academics, average to solid football save for a random team every once in a while.
Could be announced as early as next week. ATL market for BTN. ACC not long for this world.

Any time the B1G wants to add a football program with a pulse they're welcome to do so.
you're really ok with the addition of Rutgers?
Rumor denied.

If this is indeed true this could start a domino effect of teams leaving the conference. Big if though..
Gosh dammit you're such an idiot.
Gosh darnit you're a huge .
And an aggy.
I can see Ga Tech bailing, but I don't like the idea of the University of North Carolina playing ball in the Big 10. The first public school in the nation (apologies to UGA) shouldn't be arranged with midwest schools.
Meanwhile, I would like the SEC to pick up a school from VA and NC, preferably the flagships, but NC State and VaTech would be a great fit.
For those who believe all the talk is bluster, realize that the ACC can't even keep a mid-level team like Maryland ,drowning in debt, from leaving despite a $50mill pricetag to do so. Doesn't speak well of their long term viability.
Ir-regardless of how it shapes out, I got my popcorn ready.
Not really. As a fan of a B1G team when the expansion talk started a few years back, many B1G manys thought G. Tech was always a possibility
Don't you know, Blake? Programs planning the switch lie! Aggie sure did!
