Totally current, he's not having the kind of season people think he is.

RGIII and Russell Wilson really are having the better season.
Luck has more yards, total td and wins than Wilson (who you can subtract 1 td, 1 win and and add an int)

I'm quoting this now as what Avante said was totally current as of this week so he doesn't go back and try to move the goal posts. Andrew Luck had 13 touchdowns entering this week and now has 17 total. These stats are not totally current.

Using QB rating as the best gauge for this comparison is as intellectually dishonest it gets and they know it. It's not even worth achknowledging as a legitimate argument.

I didn't even realize this nugget of temporal lobe damage. Stats that were last updated Sunday morning at 6:06 AM are totally current? Really? They reflect the games played hours after the last update you re ed

So in addition to sucking at basic arithmetic, Avante's senial ass can't even tell time

Tbh, just checking stats, RG3 has the better case.

    Rookie QB A:

16 TDs, 4 INTs, 67.4 comp, 2400 yards passing, 650 yards rushing, 6 rush TDs

    Rookie QB B:

17 TDs, 16 INTs, <55.0 comp, 3600 yards passing, 200 yards rushing, 5 rush TDs

No way does rookie B win the RotY. I don't care about the team he has, QB A's stats are just better across the board except for yards.

I deserve that just went with the date, why upgrade last week today?

    Anyway...

Bottom line is that both RGIII and Wilson have out played Luck so far. Not even debatable.

I have no doubts at all that if Luck had the better rating they've be very important.

Luck isn't doing anything superior to RGIII and Wilson despite the fact he has Reggie Wayne.

Using passer rating to compare a QB in a run first offense where a lot of his throws are dump offs and off play action to a QB who has to attempt 40+ passes a game w/ no running game/play action/dump offs to utilize is intellectually dishonest regardless of whether or not it helps or hurts your argument.

I guess Alex Smith is better than Drew Brees since his passer rating is so much higher.

And to be honest, it's not like RG3 is starting on a team full of world beaters. They were 5-11 last year, and their WRs were Pats castoffs and Santana Moss.

Of course, if Washington doesn't hit at least .500, that will make his case a lot tougher.

True, but I think that "stats" win out over "wins". Both rely on the team, but one a lot more than the other. (For instance, Bradford got a win today, and he was responsible for 3 points in 75 mins of play...)

Luck does have Reggie Wayne. Both Wilsion and RGIII have done more than Luck so far. You can play..."but ya see.."..,.all you want, the facts are Luck has the inferior stats. We don't know what would happen if these guys were on each others teams. All we know is what the numbers tell us.

RGIII is on a team with a great run blocking O-line and a great running back in Morris. Meanwhile, Luck is on a team with a offensive line and a non-existent running game. Do you really need someone to explain to you why being on a great rushing team leads to a better passer rating?

Yeah, in a world of stupid spear chucking n!ggers where style is more important than substance, stats are more important than wins. That's why Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders think Cam Newton is a future HOFer. It's not like football is a team sport where you try to help your team win.

lol contradictory arguments. "We don't know what would happen if Luck's team had some semblance of a running game, but I'm going to point out all the advantages Luck has!"

Does Irvin and Sanders ever gush over the season Josh Freeman is having? Can't believe they don't prop up the best black QB in the league by far this year.

Do you really think RotY voters will take that strongly into consideration? Lucks best chance is making it to the playoffs and hoping RG3 flames out the last few games.

Nope. The media is foaming at the mouth for a marketable black QB who is actually worth a tho.

No, because ROY voters are in the group of NFL/media members desparate for a successful black QB (and no, this isn't a trolling shtick. The one thing I've ever agreed with Rush Limbaugh on is the NFL's pathetic agenda to have a successful black QB in the NFL). It's why Scam Newton led his team to a 6-10 record then was annointed a franchise QB and MVP candidate entering this year. Or why Mike Vick tortured and mutilated 60+ dogs in a hainus act of violence only to be forgiven by the media and NFL shortly after. Or why RGIII's team is below .500 and he's being annointed a winning franchise QB.

I think even if RG3 were white, his stats would still draw him plenty of support. I guess they have four more games to sort it out...

If your goal is to win games, then no, you don't. Luck has managed to get his team to 8-4 without a running game while RGIII's running game has some flashy moments but a ty record. If inflating the QB's passer rating is the objective, then yeah, you should utilize dump offs and play action through a good running game as much as possible. If winning games is the objective, then being able to run the ball doesn't matter and being able to make pocket passes when the other team is expecting the pass is important (as demonstrated by Luck).
