Shved is better and has the biggest upside.
However, De Colo costs $2.9M for 2 years while Shved costs $9.3M for 3 years.
I know it's difficult but bias aside, which player do you think has higher potential? Which one is better now?

Any reason why he's better?
Better combination of size/athleticism, better defender and better slasher.
Shved was a player I really wanted Spurs to draft a couple of years ago but he told teams that he didn't want to be drafted.

shved is a lot like ginobili in that hes a true combo guard who has a good jumpshot
also has the good passing/head scratching turnovers like manu
Argentina? I thought Shved played for Russia. Btw, I watched some highlights of Shved and his drives are weak. His lay-ups don't look that impressive, scores more like a point guard than a true SG.
Shved was a monster in the Olympics. With the T'Wolves, he has bad shot selection so far but he definitely has potential.
Shved leads the wolves in 4th quarter points and hes coming off the bench
hes also been told to do more ball handling duties since rubio is out
once he comes back his focus will be on scoring more

I've come full circle on DeColo. (Well, at least for the time being.)
Everything I saw prior to this year led me to conclude DeColo would never set foot on an NBA court. I simply could not stand him.
Take every stereotypical negative Euro trait and morph it into the prototypical bionic Euro player -- that's DeColo.
I thought he would be exposed as a fish out of water. Laughable. A joke.
He also violates another principle I hold dear -- every NBA player must have at least one thing that he does exceptionally well. DeColo has none.
Despite that DeColo somehow swims fairly well in the fast-paced NBA sea that surrounds (and should consume) him.
He's seems slow but he flows with the activity engulfing him.
I could see him being the most generic role player of all time. Like the bumble bee who can't fly but doesn't know it.
I think he can positively influence the bottom line. Why, I have no idea, but I think he can.
And, although he'll never be great, he's only going to get better as he learns. What an enigma.
Hats off to the Spurs. Again.

didnt france not score a single basket during the last 5 or so minutes of the game
parker was forcing jumpshots and his one eyed ass couldnt hit them
no one else stepped up for france and tried to do anything
De Colo is likely the better player in the end. He has time to learn the system without having to step in for an injured player. Shved playing for Minny will lose time when Rubio returns. As the season goes on, De Colo will gain confidence and his abilities will show. We look at De Colo and say "he is slow". But I dont think he is that slow, it is that we are spoiled by having a very fast PG in Tony. Tony may be the fastest in the league and is one of the 3 fastest. We have come to expect every player who puts on the Spurs uniform to play at a level above other players. Only Duncan has come to the Spurs and started from the beginning of his career. It took Tony 3 years to step into the main role of PG. Manu took a year. Give De Colo a few months to work his way into top minutes.
Shved is basically a Russian version of Manu. Dude has crazy potential.
He has some elite passing skills. So he does have one skill he does very well.
