No, I knew he was just going down for a game to get his shot on. Going to play a game where he could 20 shots instead of 2 couldn't help but be a good thing. His agent said it was just a one game thing to give him a lot of shots. That's what I meant by 'stint.' Nando is a great addition and is on the Spurs roster not the Toros...
He was sent down for one game yesterday and is back with the team for tomorrow's game. Got some extra burn.
Thanks for the heads up guys. That's odd that I didn't know anything about that. How many chances does Pop have left to switch Nando between the Toros and the Spurs this season?

Grizz erased a 16-point deficit to force OT against the Suns and then dominated in OT for a 10-point win.

Folks, the main obstacle in our path to the Finals this year is not the Lakers, Mavs, or Thunder...it's the Grizzlies.

Make no mistake, they're for real this year. I expect a Spurs-Grizz WCF, with the winner beating the Heat in 6 in the Finals.

Great writeup as always timvp, many thanks.

Incredible game, and a comeback that illustrated both the character of the team and the depth of the roster.

I don't often give up on the Spurs having seen them come back many times before, but 17 down in the 3rd I was pretty sure there was no coming back in this game, and so was pretty much everyone else in the game thread. Then the near impossible happened, the bench swung the game (Patty's furious minute was the turning point), we stole the momentum and roared all the way back to square, then won in OT. Superb perseverance.

Why do you think Pop waited so long to try Bonner? It was clear in the second Q that we lacked spacing, yet he left it until the end of the 3rd and a 15pt hole to give him a try. I thought that was odd at the time. And I wonder why Boris has gone into his hole? The guy has a sweet stroke, and those nice hooks inside, and when he gets aggressive he can score (or play-make) in bunches... why Boris, why???

I really think that Pop is trying to ween the Spurs off of Bonner. If the Spurs only wanted to win regular season games, Bonner should play 20-25 minutes per game. But since Pop has a bigger picture in mind and he knows Bonner disappears in the playoffs, he's doing all he can not to rely on Bonner now.

    At least that's what I tell myself . . .

That makes a lot of sense to me... although the way the Red Rocket is rebounding, maybe Pop will be forced to play him more!
