Adi Joseph @AdiJoseph Dwight Howard says his eight free throw misses didn't cost the Lakers in a two-point loss. OK, then. More on his math: usat.ly/VAJQJV

What if Stern changes the 2 minutes rule...to the entire 4th Quarter? Would that help the lakers?
I wouldnt be surprised...

And Howard made his last three free throws. Of course, that came after a 2-for-7 stretch in the span of 46 seconds late in the fourth quarter. But Howard doesn't think Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni, now 3-5 at the helm, should have removed him.
"Why should he take me out?" Howard asked, indignantly. "Like I said, the more I continue to practice, my free throws are going to fall. But there's other things you can do on the court to help your team. It's not just about the free throws."

The world of social media is either more cynical or less naive. Here are a few of the best tweets about Howard's foul failings:
- ESPN New York's Robin Lundberg: "Dwight Howard makes free throws about as well as he makes decisions."
- Sports Illustrated's Andy Glockner: "It's hard to make free throws with blood on your hands, Dwight."
- Los Angeles Daily News' Mark Medina: "Lakers should just be patient. Dwight Howard will make his free throws once Steve Nash comes back."
- Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan: "Laker fan just yelled out that Dwight Howard should shoot free throws 'grandma style.' Howard's 2 for 7 tonight."
- InsideHoops.com: "If Dwight Howard closed his eyes while shooting free throws, his percentage honestly might go slightly up."
^the best one by far imo :

I would say the same thing if I was Dwight playing with Kobe. Kobe doesn't take blame for anything...ever.
Got to think the Lakers will improve but never imagined they would be this bad.
Too many players need the ball to dominate and we all know who the cancer is. Their bench is , and Duhon is starting. Dwight and Kobe just wont be able to co-exist. And Pau has declined fast.
Plus Pringles being the worst possible hire. They deserve to be that bad.
They're putting up enough points to win without bench production. They're 6th in ppg and rebounds, it's their defense and turnovers that's costing them games. Of course hack-a-Dwight is really killing them when they're exchanging 0/1 points for 2/3.
me, I could watch that .gif all day!
My point was that Shaq did enough damage to have him out there regardless of his FT shooting. Dwight isn't being used to his strengths, only his weaknesses. That amplifies his weakness.
Wow they must have practiced that a lot, they are perfectly synchronized.
ing idiot lake lice.
