In the Christian (or Islamic) concept, yes. Not in Asia nearly as much, but those religions don't prosthelytize outside their regions really, so they've been static.

Point is that tech advancement, which is hugely cyclical over generations, isn't going to change people's long term minds in regards to theism/atheism. Short term it or crushing state control can, however.Really? Electricity, radio waves, nuclear power, space travel, bioengineering ...etc. has been around for thousands of years?
