It was probably that or a suspension, and I know Jax doesn't wanna miss any more time thn he needs to.
The apology sounds far less street than the original tweet.

Then why say it in the first place?
That way Abaka is on his toes from the get-go in the next meeting. It's all a mind , like saying you regard Young Money highly in the rap game.
Andrew A. McNeill @drew_48moh #Spurs just announced that Stephen Jackson will be fined for the comments he made on Twitter about Serge Ibaka. #GoSpursGo

The fine is coming in coordination between the Spurs and the league. Team's press release didn't say how much the fine would be.

Part of Buford quote: "absolutely unacceptable, can not be tolerated and do not reflect the standards held by the San Antonio Spurs,"
Let's hope he doesn't end up in the doghouse and Pop doesn't get personal.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA The NBA has fined San Antonio's Stephen Jackson $25,000 for his "hostile statement directed at Serge Ibaka in a Twitter message."
Bruno called David Stern's butthurtedness regarding the Heat game and also called this.

so, considering he threatened ibaka via internet, is that worse than when KG went on his pg bully spree a couple yrs back and threatened everyone but the bigs? i don't recall that dip receiving any type of fine whatsoever. what a pussy ass league the nba has become but then again, david hitler is the number 1 pussy and he reigns supreme.
Jack was pretty stupid to post what he did, and he manned up and apologized, and I'm sure he'll pay the fine immediately without a word. I don't recall KG ever having the balls to threaten anyone in public. What Jack did is probably 1/4 as bad as Kobe using a slur in a game.
Ibaka, the congolese thug... as I said, I'd pick the almost priest Nene instead of Ibaka or Jack in a fight anyday.
LOL, what? Artest went in the stands, grabbed the wrong guy by his face, and slammed him into the ground before Jackson got in the crowd and started punching people. No way Artest was getting 10 games for that.

Vernon Maxwell did the same thing and got 10 games. Maybe 25 games.
uh... kg threatened pg's in public every in' game. wtf you smokin'? was nationally televised too and not tweeted.
Kg, the peacemaker? When the fists flies, the pussythugs keep safe distance.

Ah, my mistake. I'm sure you won't have any problem posting up plenty of examples with quotes of what he said.
Kevin Garnett can't be fined for being a fake-thug who bodies up white guys half his size to try to look tough. In fact, it's pretty much its own punishment, since the rest of us laugh at him for it. Jack could have said something to Ibaka and gotten away with it. It's when he put it in writing that he got in trouble.
KG looking for a little white guy to hold back.
