Well you made it very clear that anyone who believed in a God was this and that, so I'm curious if you see your parents in that same boat. Curious about what turned you away.
So tell me are mom and dad cool with your decision to dump their religion?

Only parents would not be cool with their child making their own decision on their religious beliefs or lack of them, why does it matter to them

I wonder what a good reason to believe in God would be for those who don't need fairy tales to make themselves feel happy.

indoctrinated persons are expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned.
It's similar to a kidnapped child having feelings for the kidnapper after so many years. The only difference with religion is that the child wasn't kidnapped. It's the indoctrinated continuing the cycle on their own children, and its sickening.
From Birth they are told these things, so its only natural that they believe. It's not easy to question the people that brought you into the world, after all they where here before you so they must know more. The abductee refuses logic even when it's staring them in the face, to believe otherwise would be to believe your parents and peers (or abductee) lied to you... most people cant accept that. When your told something from the moment of birth until the age when you become self dependent, it's hard to let go of that belief.
It takes a strong person to question things about their beliefs.

You grow up noticing all those around you with a God in their life aren't like the ones without a God in theirs. Uncle Bill doesn't believe, the guy has a tattoo of Tom & Jerry over his pecs, he drinks rot gut whiskey and smells like piss. The guy next door doesn't believe, he beats his wife and kicks his dog. While those in your orbit who do believe aren't playing that bull . It doesn't take long to figure it out.
Those are some really good examples, so what about the priests that rape kids...?

I have no problem with people believing in something, the problem is that their beliefs are pushed on us non-believers CONSTANTLY and Im tired of it. If they push, Im gonna push back.
Did you know "One Nation under God" wasn't put into any USA government until 1951? It was never intended by the founders of this nation. Separation of church from state is the founding of this country and we have allowed that to be all over on because of religious right wingers. This was never meant to be a "Christian" nation.... it was meant to be a FREE nation. Our forefathers fled from the church to escape prosecution and here we are replaying the events again. When are you morons going to wake the up?

Dude, not all black guys are fast, yet the fastest humans are black. There will always be those who don't fit in. Who hasn't noticed that those heavy into religion do live by a stricter set of life rules than those without a God, we've all seen it. We all know people like that.
If I'm looking to rent out a house of mine (if I had any) I'd much rather rent to some church goes than some ...bah humbuggers.
