as for me, i feel it's the end of an era of tangible communication and trading - whether it be monetary, ideas or interpersonal exchange. it'll be a golden age for humanity, and the only difference between nations is drawn borders and nationalistic tendencies echoed from the world wars. space exploration and settlement is in the near future with space privatization, and merchant fleets are drawing nearer.
i'll probably forget it's the presumed end and not realize it until dec. 23rd. archaeologists discovered an expanded calendar anyhow that extends past the date, but it's not making headlines because "scholarly" outlets such as the history channel are banking from it.
i believe the posters hear have too much time on their hands and need to get outside more. they're so easily trolled it's pathetic - mostly because they're all over the age of 30 or have severe self esteem issues. posters seem to feed off any miniscule amount of personal information given in order to make themselves feel better even if the information given is completely fabricated and cannot be further from the truth.
the spurs are the best managed organization from the top down in professional sports. spurstalk is a well ran medium as well. kudos to the owners.
