It is possible, but I have seen that new sense camera in action and it is pretty sweet. I would say that the newest (android 4.2) camera is pretty badass too not just for its functionality, but it's UI is pretty good.

...You didn't brick it?
I mean GJ son.
I ed it up after flashing a ROM wothout gapps (lol at me)
Was able to fix it and flashed the gapps
2 problems :
- I thought I installed a JB rom, it's an ICS rom
- cant connect to wifi![]()
Which rom did you flash? and what kind of phone do you have?
Phone:
HTC One S
(S4 snapdragon)
ROM:
AOKP ville Milestone 6
METHOD:
I didnt feel like doing a "manual" install, so I installed Goomanager 1st (from Play Store). and then browsed through a list of ROMS compatible with my device, then installed the rom zip file
Then I found a tutorial for HTC phones that said to install via recovery mode
And I believe there was a CM10 rom in there, silly me
Other problems :
- Music player mixing songs
- Camera app displaying ty colors all over
- No wifi (as I already mentioned)
- Displays 3G signal instead of 4G
Should I have, in recovery mode, cleaned the cache before/after flashing to avoid those issues?
Edit : stupid me, I just realized GooManager could have flashed everything for me - while doing wiping+cleaning the cache
Tomorrow Im gonna anium backup, then flash CM10 (stable) via GooManager

Sounds like you didn't update your radios.
Elaborate please ?
Oh and stupid me, I just realized GooManager could have flashed everything for me - while doing wiping+cleaning the cache
(stupid tutorial, why did I flash in recovery mode)
Tomorrow Im gonna anium backup, then flash CM10 (stable) via GooManager
Not sure, but you still might need to flash the radios. Those come directly from your phone manufacturer and allow it to operate on the most updated communications protocols. They should post them in any thread you're rooting from. cntl+F for radio.
ok so i looked through the different forums and they all linked the same Radio file; it just wouldnt flash....
Im downloading my phone/carrier's RUU file ; do you kniw if its possible to extract/isolate the radio file from the RUU ?
Thanks
That's odd... when you say, "it wouldn't flash" are you getting an error message?
I doubt it, since there's probably no reason for them to have it as a separate file.Im downloading my phone/carrier's RUU file ; do you kniw if its possible to extract/isolate the radio file from the RUU ?
It's really puzzling that the radio wouldn't flash. You have superuser permissions enabled, correct?
I have never done it, but I know it is possible... however if ALL of them have the same radio file, I would surmise that this isn't the problem. Have you searched/asked about this problem in the ROM thread?
wait, I just realized you got it through goo manager. I cant find a thread for it over at xda. who was the creator?
Edit: found it over at rootzwiki

Cry Havoc, I really don't think that it is so complicated.
I think that you are before you do all of that, just to be sure, redownload and reflash. Do you have anium backup? I ask because I want you to wipe cache, davlik cache, data, and system. Doing so will wipe all the apps that you have so I want you to have backed them up. You can do this with anium backup even the free version (though it is annoying to restore them with the free version because you have to "accept" every single app (Do you want to restore this app? [Yes], (restoring.....); Do you want to restore this app? [Yes], (restoring .. ..))
Does anyone have an s3 with sprint? just wondering if its possible to do free wifi tethering with an app or mod of some type.
Does EasyTether work? It's great and it doesn't even require rooting.
ill give it a shot thanks
but tethering is currently worthless, my phone does not get a 4g signal in my area yet and sprints 3g is disgustingly slow versus att
Probably region specific... Sprint's 3G is pretty damn fast where I am. You can still use wifi anytime you get a signal though.
Thanks man
I realized I didnt flash the boot img (step 5)
But again, Ive read in various forums that this step is kinda pointless if you use TWRP`is that true ??
Oh and when I say the radio file wouldnt flash, it's just that the progress stays grey for a while (it should be filling with blue), as if waiting to start the process (like 5 minutes before I decide to say it, and Ive attempted to flash many times)
Drachen, Ive backed up everything through both anium and Goomanager, just to be sure
And yes, I do wipe cache and Devlik, etc etc before flashing
However I havent tried redownloading before reflashing - I should probably try that
Where the heck are you? Sprint 3g is horrible almost everywhere.
Ok great, I didn't want to tell you to wipe system or data (factory reset) without you having backed everything up. As far as flashing the boot image, it sounds like you are rooted, but not s-off. If this is the case (and it has been a while since I was rooted/s-on), I think the only custom recovery which will allow you to just flash (without separately flashing boot img) is 4ext. Now, TWRP may have added that functionality in the last 6 months or so, but that would be something to check with the forums for your specific device.
I think it was DC or Chicago, but I can't say for sure.
I unlocked the bootlader via HTCdev
Does that mean Im S-ON?
Yes you are still S-ON. I don't know if there is an exploit to achieve S-Off (check xda). It's not a huge deal without S-off, there are workarounds, it is just nice to have S-off.
I just saw yearerday that TWRP had HTC Dumlock; I installed it but Im still trying to figure how to use it
In a nuts , it allows to flash ROMs that couldnt be flashed directly or that need an imgboot (maybe thats why I couldnt get CM 10 to work) and Radios
I found explanations on HTC DUmlock, but still too technical for me; geeks understand each other, but I dont know what the they are talking about
I was so fed up yesterday that I attempted to flash the RUU for my phone/carrier (after relocking the bootlader), but it didnt work; I tried different methods (running the RUU, then extracting 2 files from the RUU to put them in another folder and then enter a cmd in that folder)
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh !!!!!
