I always thought the Lakers' lack of depth was an overblown problem, but god damn, everyone on their team is in useless after the 4-5 best players, and D'antoni sure as isn't the coach who's gonna develop a bench.

Kobe is shooting and doing so efficiently, but the problem is that with Kobe in the Lakers have no offence. As soon as it hits his hands he goes 1-on-1 in the perimeter or backs down in to the post for a turn around jumper. Theres no offensive flow.
I would be very interested to see how many of Kobes buckets are assisted. I imagine very, very few.
It's amazing what happens when you get 5 shots a game. Basketball is a rhythm game. If you don't get touches and then suddenly the ball is in your hands, it's tough to just hit shots when you haven't had a chance to get a bucket in 15 minutes. Players HAVE to be in sync or they just aren't effective. This is known to every single person in the basketball world except Kobe and Kobe fans.
Varejao has just 8 reb in the end of the 3rd. At least Howard is doing anything.
When Kobe gets 8 more points you can call this game for Cleveland.
