This is a road-weary loss. Team has been on the road for so long, the Jazz were smart to push it up the floor hard every time and either score in transition or get good looks. Jefferson beasted and couldn't miss. Spurs have more road wins than most teams have overall wins. I think we'll be OK.
Foye missed the and-1 free throw, it made no difference whatsoever.
Parker and Duncan both missed open jumpers in the last minute, and Parker turned it over at the end 30 seconds before Diaw did.
Did you even watch the game?
i see what you did there
didn't even realize we play tomorrow on TNT. send the bags home, pathetic performance tonight.
Gregg Popovich Dio
This game was not Winnable regardless.
The refs made it abundantly clear Utah had this.
timvp Show the mobile user some love. Damn near impossible to post on phone here. Smh
I wouldn't be surprised either. That Luke Babbitt is an absolute beast!
The last error loses the game, same way as a hero shot wins a game.
Tim logs 33 minutes and we have a road game tomorrow night? Pop is facing a dilemma here.
Forgot about Foye missing the free throw. But you really gonna blame the loss on TP & Timmy?
Don't get those knickers in a twist over a December game tbh.
Why must the Spurs save their terrible performances for nationally televised games? Clippers, Jazz, and no big 3 against Miami
edit: miami was an awesome performance, but still, no big 3.
Like i said, when Blair was injured the Spurs was playing like a Juggernout and finishing games in the 3rd, Blair comes back and the Spurs barely beat Harden-less Rockets and lose to Utah. Also Neal is playing too much.
Okay SIT TIM you lose tomorrow as well, I agree it is a bad situation.
Surprise, surprise...while the Spurs will be playing their 5th game in 7 nights tomorrow, the Blazers last played on Monday night. Awesome...But on a positive note the Blazers starting line-up as of late has been Lillard, Pavlovic, Claver, Hickson, and Aldridge. With Jeffries, Babbitt, Leonard, Smith, and Barton coming off the bench....
BonBon most definitely played well. Has been for the last few games to be honest. The truth is I don't trust him.
Otoh Blair has the Spurs in a bind. When the team is tired like it was tonight, the last thing TD needs is to be babysitting Blair against a solid frontcourt. Blair's dead weight in the SL. He needs to come off the bench or not play at all.
Agreed on Splitter. Though if Tiago gets around 25-30/game I don't particularly mind Diaw closing depending on the match-ups.
Meltdown + Trade (Insert Bench Player Here) threads going to pop up by the dozens now.
I'm gutted but my panties aren't in a twist. I'm just not a fan of people blaming this all on the role players when Timmy and Tony didn't make the big plays at the end. , the only person to hit a jumper in the last 4 minutes was Green.
Last 4 minutes we got outscored 14-3, Duncan missed a free throw, an open baseline jumper, Parker missed an open free throw line jumper, had a turnover as did Diaw and Green.
The whole team the bed in the last 4 minutes, not just Green is all I'm saying
Probably won't sit him, but minutes will be monitored more heavily than usual, and that could be bad news against Lamarcus
the problem with blair playin with the bench, same with the wanker gino and neal, they prefer the green light to shoot stupid shot selections and are turnover prone....
Thunder. I swear they've had a cupcake schedule for the past month or so. Other than the Grizzlies, everytime I see highlights they're playing weak ass teams...
As far as i know. Who knows? The Spurs bench may play to their level or one of their scrubs like Babbitt scores a career high and beat us. Strange things have happened in that Blazer arena.
