This should be the tipping point for some sort of gun control.

Connecticut already has extremely strict gun control laws, and frankly, even if we had a federal gun ban, sickos like that guy would just get their guns illegally or use a different weapon...

He could have killed those 30+ people with a knife just as easily as with a full semi auto!

Don't generalize. I found out about the shooting just a little while ago while participating in an event in my daughter's kindergarten class. I'm 24 years old as well. You act like older folks can't flip out and do some stupid .

Oh yeah, it's generally a great idea for kids to have kids. quit getting so caught up and butthurt in the langauge, it was not directed at a slight towards you. im 22 myself. my point is that kids' emotions are very volatile, you add a child into that while probably having to drop out of school at 15 (btw you're 24, hes 20, he impregnated his baby mama when he was probably 15 and you were probably 19, so big difference) to take care of the kid and the baby mama who you are in conflict with and stupid happens. usually not his stupid but you get the idea. obviously not all young parents are re s but re ed behavior is prevalent among teens with parents, this is not really disputable

A draconian style ban on these assault weapons is necessary & instead of wasting money on the drug war, why not the illegal weapons trade!?

Either the guy did get the gun illegally, or Connecticut's gun laws aren't strict at all. If strict gun laws mean full automatic rifles with all of those accessories are legal, I'd hate to see what unstrict gun laws are.
