Manu Ginobili and Chris Wilcox collided and Ginobili had to leave the game. It looked like knee to knee or knee to quad. Hopefully nothing serious.

It didn't look like an ankle injury but it was a violent collision so any type of injury is possible.

    Thanks for the update.

Thought for sure it was knee or thigh.

Are we ever gonna have our full arsenal for any length of time this year? I know, injuries happen, but always seem to happen to us like this. UGH.

Left quad contusion. Will not return.

My guess is he'll miss the upcoming back-to-back.

Ginobili suffered this same exact injury (left quad contusion) in March of 2011. He missed one game and was able to return four days later. Let's hope it's no worse than that.

I think Jack needs to play vs OKC. Can't see his finger making a difference whether its Monday or tuesday. He'll be winded but we need him

Ginobili had a right quad contusion in 2005 and also missed one game.

That said, this one looked more serious than those previous two. I don't remember him writhing on the ground like he did tonight.

This is why I say he retires at the end of the season if he even survives. Do you think he really likes getting all these injuries. Then when he comes back has no game/rhthym at all and it takes him several months to get it back just to get injured again. I say that's why in his interview before the season began he pretty much hinted it. I just can't see him wanting to play another year or two.

Pop should leave him out until after the holidays... if we're going to lose 3 or 4 games, this is the time to do it...

exactly. I said the same previously, a couple got butthurt at the idea that Manu has lost his passion, but it is obvious. I don't blame him, hard to get into a rhythm when you have been mr. Glass for awhile. I highly doubt he is here 2 years from now, I imagine it's this year or next that he retires.

it ain't this injury, it's his comments and all the injuries he ac ulates. I know this guy is a national icon for you, but it's better you prepare for him retiring soon. you have my prayers El Nono.

Ehhh... he'll be an icon for Arg after he retires too... I just don't buy the 'lost his passion' fairytale... if you tell me he would retire because his body is breaking down, that's one thing, but it's different from saying he wants to quit because he doesn't care anymore (which IMO is what passion is all about)

He'll always be a compe or, and he is the last guy to play just to collect a paycheck. He plays with ton of passion, but it seems dampened compared to the past, plus it was strange he said he didn't want his kids playing professionally. I think his injury problems have affected his enthusiasm, which is understandable, when you consider it's hard to ever get going if always getting hurt.

Not as long as Manu is on the team.
