This made me laugh! I bet this old guy was waiting his entire life for this. Glad there are men out there like him!
I'm just glad he didn't get himself or others killed while playing cowboy...
Over 600 people die every year on accidental gun shootings alone. And obviously that doesn't even include the people gunned down while trying to play Rambo.
FTR that wouldn't have been accidental but negligent. But yeah. He did a good job of waiting for it to be a safe angle to fire.
If he shoots a bystander it's accidental.
I thought we were talking legally. Sure it was accidental that he shot someone besides who he wanted to, but him firing in that direction was not accidental. therefore he did not accidentally shoot. The only exception to this, IMO, is if a round cooks off and fires without the hammer or trigger mechanism ed.
It's a big deal in the army because it became acceptable to call a negligence discharge an accidental discharge. I got smoked pretty bad as a brand new Joe when I called it that. It stuck!
BTW I'm not trying to be an asshole. There really is a big difference.
I wonder what the legal repercussions might have been had he shot/killed a fleeing gunman.
I'm talking classification. If he takes x shots at the bad guys and a stray bullet kills a bystander, it's classified as an accidental death.
The army might have different rules.
tbh, he was fortunate the goons fled. That's not always the case and you end up with a bloodbath.
Thats how you look at it. I look at it that he took a stand. He kept strangers safe and put his life in jeopardy. He made the choice not to be a victim.
He needs to practice more. Aim small, miss small.
that first shot looked pretty solid
He can take a stand in his house, tbh... in a public place, he simply put his life and strangers in danger. Obviously, you're not going to find on YouTube when situations like this go sour, but they're way more common.
BTW, I'm not against the 2nd amendment or anybody having a gun after following proper regulations. It's the law.
Just disagree with idolizing idiots like that old man. I though what he did was re ed and dangerous to himself and others. Now, if the goons started shooting, he's more than welcome to smoke em.
The criminals had already taken their safety. I could understand if he were driving around looking for crime (Trayvon) but he was living his life. I could see if it was only him and he had an opportunity to flee, but that wasn't the case. Not only did he protect all of the people about to be victims but he could not flee. This old man did everything right and you still are saying he doesn't have a right to be free.
That makes absolutely no sense to me. Would you feel that way if your mom was in there? It just seems like you are only thinking about that video ideological and not with a human side to it. those criminals had high powered weapons. The idea that he shouldn't defend himself unless someone has been shot is just something I can't even come close to understanding.
the crooks weren't even aiming at him. This wasn't a situation of "my life or theirs". Again, he lucked out these guys were not high enough and started running, and didn't just return fire at will. He would likely have a couple of innocent lives on his hands otherwise. Bullets flying is never a safer situation than no bullets flying.
lol free
Absolutely. He started a gun fight against two guys whom he had no idea how would they react. Again, you probably won't find YouTubes of when like this goes wrong.
All IMO, obviously. I respect you disagree.
absolutely likewise![]()
...and him!
In the first two videos, the legal gun holder stopped the crime at hand, and likely deterred these sissies from future crimes. I'll bet those sissies thought they were in charge with big guns. Look at how they ran.
Yeah, these guys tried to pull that too and now they're dead..

I'm sure Roldan is having second thoughts too...

I bet you're not going to find the videos on YouTube...
Here's another rambo 'stopping the crime at hand'
