Against the Nuggets on Tuesday night, Tim Duncan totaled 31 points, 18 rebounds, six assists and five blocks. The last time Tim Duncan matched those numbers during a regular season game was ......

    Never

At 36 years of age, Duncan is doing things he's never done before. Amazing.

Duncan has only matched those numbers twice in his career and both times happened during the 2003 playoffs: Game 1 of the Finals and Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Tim is really getting better with age. He wasn't this dominant in 2008-2011.

Maybe playing next to another skilled seven footer had something to do with it? It's ridiculous Pop waited this long to try the TD/TS frontcourt. We could be so much further along by now and TD wouldn't have wasted so much energy trying to cover for Blair.

    MVP tbh

Losing 4 of 5 in December sucks but I think the worst is over schedule-wise.

Case in point, TD trying to carry Rasho/Nazr then played better playing with Oberto

Paul Garcia PS ‏@24writer NBATV just posted a stat: Tim Duncan is the oldest player (36) to ever post 30 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 blocks. #Spurs

Lost in the setback was a milestone night for Duncan. The forward from Wake Forest eclipsed the 23,000-point mark for his career with two free throws with 9 minutes left in the third quarter.

He joined Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA history who went to colleges that were in the Atlantic Coast Conference to score at least 23,000 points.
Is that not the most ridiculous way to qualify this milestone? Nice one ESPN/Associated Press.

Case in point, TD winning a championship and 63 regular season games with Rasho/Nazr then having to try to carry Horry/Finley in the playoffs.
    Fixed.

Tim Duncan was simply amazing tonight. Too bad his performance tonight will go unnoticed by the casual NBA fan because the Spurs lost so most people won't notice his stat line because of that. But damn, he was a beast tonight....

Now they will get some rest and practice time - the latter being is the main reason why Pop has not brought back Kawhi yet

Only 6 players ever had a 31-18-6-5 line or better (well, since the 85-86 season at least) and they are: D-Rob (x2), Shaq (x2), Duncan, Parish, Garnett and Barkley. A player can't scrub his way into that kind of line...

His confidence in the post is back at a high level. I remember the past few season he had to settle for that outside shot cause he'd be getting blocked down there. The way he was putting it down last night was beautiful
