If Kobe touches the ball, the other two are not going to shoot. The ball dies with Kobe as do your le hopes. Howard found a place where he can hide. You bury an all star center on a team with the components to win a ring, especially a center that's as immature as Howard, and you're asking for them to ride it out. He's already thinking about his next move. Kobe already calls the team old, Nash and Mike D are buddy buddy and Kobe is the bas step child. Very odd dynamic with that franchise, from Buss down to the last guy on the bench, it's a recipe for disaster. If they pull out of it, I will be shocked.

However, if a team's season rides on who takes the last shot, you're not getting far anyhow. You have to beat teams you're supposed to beat. Right now your team is worse than the sum of it's parts, much worse.

He has made numerous posts on the Kobeis not clutch etc. but constantly says he does not "hate" Kobe Bryant. If he is just stating facts that would not be necessary. The thing is I dont think he hates Bryant teh person ...would be silly since he doesnt know him, but the "way he plays" ...which makes some sense because as a Laker fan sometimes I detests Kobe's shot selection ... but the fact he doesnt admit his bias makes his opinions on the matter useless. And i dont need his stats because there are plenty of others that have done a better job making that point.

But teh reason I reject stats I saw one where MWP and others were considered more "efcient" in the clutch which basically renders those numbers moot. If you want to tell me Paul is a better clutch player I would listen ...though obviously he has not proven that yet in the playoffs. And those that point at Melo give me a break, I do think he is clutch ...but he has played in only 1 important series in his career so far. So when I say he is clutch Im saying that I would take Kobe for one SHOT (not play where I would take Paul or Lebron) because he has taken made and missed the most ... but I trust his shot making over most of the players of this era.

Now the flip side of the coin is game 7 2010 ... Though Kobe stepped up late ... we saw everything good and bad about Kobe Bean Bryant. He took some horrible shots (but also missed some easy ones) and kept bricking and chucking. But yet still we saw how compe ive he was grabbing rebounds doing whatever else he could to bring home that le. Maybe it would of been easier if he shot less, who knows? Everyone was bricking shots on both sides ... except MWP who was truly clutch. So know Im not on the Kobe is the undisputed clutch assasin bandwagon but to say he is not clutch at all is pretty stupid.

IF i need a play to be made: I want Paul or Lebron because they will make a play to get a team-mate a good look

If it is catch and shoot only: Im taking Ray Allen over anyone ... still Derek Fisher would also get some love from me

IF it's clutch Ft's: Nash, Ray Cp3 Dirk

If it's a 1 on 1 need a shot: Kobe, Melo Pierce

So for me clutch is not as simple as some stats there are different situations that require different skills but in today's game RIGHT now Lebron is the best answer to most of those questions especially since he has improved his FT shooting Paul might be just behind him ...

That Game 7 in 2010 was a chance to erase any doubts about Kobe being clutch forget the last 30 seconds or whatever stat you use, that was Kobe's chance to enter the MJ discussion and he failed. It doesnt mean he isnt still great but it just confirmed for me he is anotch below MJ Magic Kareem ... but hey most great players are not on that level.
