love this matchup for the Seahaws. for one, they're the superior team... for two, Atlanta can't run the ball or defend the run . For three, they DO have the corners/scheme to matchup w/ White/Jones.

agree. I hate the Seahawks more than Falcons but wouldn't be shocked if they pull off the upset. They are on a roll and Atlanta Falcons are starting to seem like the Braves. Maybe they get over the hump but it's anyone's game. People are ting on Russell Wilson, but him and Seahawks are very confident right now.

The WRs won't make a big difference because of how the pass rush will bother Ryan. Their CBs are good enough to slow down their WRs and make it more difficult for Ryan who also won't be able to rely on his running game. Honestly, Seattle's a much better team overall and Ryan won't be able to do much against an elite defense. He's a solid QB at best. No where close to elite. The pressure rattles him a ton. He gets real frenetic in the pocket.

Game manager usually implies someone is able to sit in the pocket and take whatever is given to him. Wilson can't even do that because he's so uncomfortable in the pocket, I'd hesitate to even call Wilson a game manager. He's a feast or famine QB who plays with fire more than a good game manager should.

I agree. Wilson is a game manager. I also agree the winner will get eliminated in the next round even though I think Seattle could beat both the Packers and 49ers at home.

In my pre-playoff picks I had Seattle winning this game (check DH's thread), but Russell Wilson was so goddamn awful tonight that I've changed my mind. Matt Ryan is going to win a playoff game at some point in his career, and next week's as ripe a time as any. He lost to Kurt Warner, Aaron Rodgers, and Eli Manning in the playoffs--all 3 were statistical juggernauts in their respective playoff runs--all 3 are HOFers, and all 3 are SB MVPs. Now he faces Russell Wilson who had difficulty throwing ing screen passes tonight. Even if Ryan doesn't have his best game, the opposing QB is not on the caliber of his past foes, so he'll at least be in the game till the end. Atlanta will win, 27-20
