I actually watched a few episodes of this in a row the other day.
One thing that struck me as funny was that Honey Boo Boo (7 years old) was swatting at some gnats around her face. After becoming agitated she said,
"Why don't you all go on back to Africa? I'll even pack your bags for ya."
Coincidence? Or simply confirmation of white trash racism.

LOL. Yeah...I think so too. Not that the girl herself is racist yet or at least she wasn't trying to use the statement as racist. But funny that she'd probably heard the saying enough from her parents that she used it properly. Except that the gnats weren't from Africa.
I'd love to see a black version of this show though.

there are several coon shows out there. a rapper named "shawty lo" has a reality show about having 11 kids by 10 women, true story.
So the 1000s of other honey boo boo threads were not official?
I wish there was some sort of regulation or warnings around here.
Most of the "coon" shows out there are based on relatively successful blacks and how they just too ed up to assimilate. But I'm talking about a show where they feature the black equivalent of the Honey Boo Boo group. Either about a family in the slums or a southern backwoods black family. My point being that they can show the white trash and all their stereotypes but if you showed a black family, they'd edit out any references to fried chicken or watermelons.
I couldn't find any other threads about them.

I read on cnn.com that honey boo boo's mom invested all their reality show monies in to trust funds for her 4 kids. now DETS responsible parenting.
I know right? I mean, to actually get me to take time to look up to see if there is a Honey Boo Boo thread instead of simply starting my own (which I never do)...I mean...it's brilliant. Good internet win Mouse!
