Yeah, that's what I meant by "tanking for the Suns".... if/when the Lakers miss the playoffs, Phoenix gets their pick...

IIRC, Jameer Nelson had a torn labrum in the Magic's Finals season and was out about 2-3 months
I'm going to bet D-Ho is out for the season. Get's caught in the SVG lie? Out for the season. Melts down about how Kobe is mean and how teams don't need alpha dogs? Out for the season.
It's gonna be crazy that a free agent leaves the Lakers for a different market ... but the hate between D-Ho and Kobe is so palpable that, unless the Lakers find a way to get rid of Kobe, I think he's gone.
Now apparently some doctor on 710 AM in LA is saying that Dwight could be out for the rest of the season, depending on where the tear is on his shoulder....
Dwight's denying that he needs surgery, but knowing his track record, I'll wait until an actual doctor says he doesn't need surgery...

Howard: “I don’t need surgery.” Said he expects it to heal; obviously doesn’t want to rush it, increase chance of re-injuring it.
Jordan Hill injured his hip & may not travel as well...The injures mean power forward Antawn Jamison and center Robert Sacre will move to the starting lineup...
Is it safe to say unless they make some kind of crazy trade between now and the deadline that this team misses the playoffs? I know it's January but all signs seem to be pointing to a missed playoffs as things stand unless there's some kind of renaissance.

Considering that all of their bigs are injured and missing significant time, not even a trade could save the Lakers, and there's nobody they CAN trade really, imho....
Yeah, now I'll back off my Lakers-make-the-playoffs,-guaransheed talk, tbh.
Injuries are stacking up so fast that Pau Gasol thinks he really was traded to the Rockets after all.
This is quickly becoming my favorite lakers season of all time
both L.A. and Philly got ed.
that means that he's done with the Lakers and will go to Brooklyn for surgery since they have better doctors and better facilities for theraphy just like he did last year
You've jinxed dem Lakers to lefty-level proportions dis season tbh.
If that's the case, expect the Lakers to "draw" the #1 pick in 2013 if they miss the playoffs.
EDIT: Wait, it would go to Phoenix, nvm.
Who woulda thunk that ORL/DEN would end up getting the best outta the deal?![]()
Good point.
Lakers will still make the playoffs. D-Ho will only miss one week.
@KobeBryant : The mamba vs d12 !! It's on lol
Somthings not right.![]()
Did Howard tear his labrum on his clutch assist to Gallinari?
Even Denver didn't really get THAT much better, tbh.... Iguodala would be much better as the third wheel of a Big Three (Clippers? OKC?) than as the focal point of a team...
good to see they're still able to have fun during a lottery season
