Reasons for why Bonner should get minutes over Baynes:
*Familiarity with the team and the Spurs' system. Although, keep in mind that the Australian National Team actually ran many of the Spurs' plays due to Brett Brown being the former coach.
*Three point shooting, currently at over 50%. (Who knows what this'll drop to in the playoffs)
    *Pop's approval.
    *More NBA experience.

Reasons for why Baynes should get minutes over Bonner:
    *He can dunk with regularity.
*He's bigger and stronger around the post.
*Has a small assortment of post moves, which is still more than Bonner.
*Has team chemistry with Patty Mills, who he played with in the Olympics for Australia.
    *Better defensive player than Bonner.
    *Younger.

An Extra: Reasons to play Blair over Bonner or Baynes:
*No reasons at all. Trade Blair at the earliest chance.

The better question is who will be blocked more at the rim: Baynes in 2013 or James Anderson in 2011. He may be big and strong, but he's not going to get many of those dunks in the NBA, where the defenders are longer and quicker and more athletic. He may get dunks on some pick and rolls, but it won't be from posting up.

Also, how many offensive foul calls do you think he will get in his first season in the NBA? I bet he averages two a game.

    Pop is done with Bonner.

There's nothing more Pop can do to him.

Therefore, Pop will probably play Bonner while he experiments with his new toy -- Baynes.

I agree, he will face a lot more contests. ONTH, he may also break someone's hand on the rim. He is a big boy.

I would rather have the Post Player resulting in possibly old fashioned 3 pt plays rather than the three pointer that we all know will diminish in the playoffs.

Granted this is from 09 but from his form, I wouldn't be jumping out of my seat screaming if he had to shoot a mid range shot.

Pop just needs to tell himself there's room for both.

... Tim, Tiago, Diaw and Baynes could all play in the paint - at the same time - with Bonner spacing the floor from the bench.

Pop needs to just throw Baynes in their as soon as possible. What's there to lose. All he could do is provide immediate impact.
