Anybody that consistently watches the NBA should know that Memphis gets more calls than any team outside of OKC, tbh..
It's not necessarily preferrential treatment, but attributed more to their physicality and reputation..
HH37 sighting.
can you sue the nba? or would we end up in some desert in nevada?
No ! Wow
Good news: Spurs shooting 64%
Not so good news: They're only up 3 and Memphis is shooting 53%
Memphis at full strength is a extremely tough opponent. They've got our number IMO.
Have you been watching the game? I have. ESPN is wrong. He took at a shot. I remember it.
As I said when I answered you before, it was a more general comment about his horrid shooting for weeks now. He can't buy a bucket. I wish he could, I want him to succeed, but he's not going to get there unless he can make the wide-open shots he's gifted.
Spurs aren't at full strength tonight
Hopefully Diaw doesn't take his foot off the gas in 2nd half, already has 12 pts
Any team with a good defensive center and athletic guards will give us trouble.
You're right. I'm surprised he's shooting 47% for the season, must've made a lot of shots early, because he hasn't made many lately. (2-8, 0-1, 1-3, 2-3, 2-5, 2-6, 1-3, 1-1, 3-4, 5-8, 19-42 past 10 games he's played, but take out those last two against Dallas and Denver and he's 11-30 over past 8 games which is what I'm talking about).
Lakers are up there, too...
There's definitely an element of Stern wanting to shut up the small-market critics of the league by pimping a small-market team, tbh...It's not necessarily preferrential treatment, but attributed more to their physicality and reputation..
lol san antonio suns blaming refs....
Memphis Grizzlies are the Lakers's farm team so it makes sense that they'd receive special treatment over any other small market.
Never go full re
It's not easy to officiate the Grizzlies. Much like Sloan's Jazz teams they play with a ton of physicality. Can't call every foul.
Spurs points in the paint: 22
Grizzlies points in the paint: 14
Yeah, but keep pretending we're a jump shooting team when it's the Grizzlies making the flukey shots tonight.
yeah because the ing refs give them confidence
Conley owns Parker SO bad...![]()
Just catching the game! Diaw's actually shooting the ball!!! Goddamn!!!!
Doesn't add up though - why let them get away with being physical and penalise Tiago for holding his ground? They should be consistent - that 's all any fan ever wants. Gonna not call it on the Grizz, apply the same rule to us.
Sad to say, but the offense looked better with Parker on the bench
Why isn't Boris always as offensively assertive as he's been tonight?
He does this once every 5-7 games and it helps the team enormously, so why not do it every second game?
When your opponent is getting all the calls AND shooting lights out, maybe it's time to look at what you're doing.
You have to beat your opponent or they will beat you.
Spurs seem perpetually back-footed against good teams. There's a reason for it, and it has little to do with the opponents merely shooting well and supposedly getting preferential treatment from the refs.
