I thought that he might not have to suffer the humility of bumping elbows on the bench with the man that he is replacing in the rotation. The Spurs may not make that other move until they see first hand that Baynes belongs on the NBA court this year, that is, if they plan on making that move at all.

Me too. I'm tempered by reason, but since Pop has benched both Bonner and Blair, he is using a three man rotation between the four and five spots. This may immediately open up 8 to 10 minutes of PT for Baynes, unless he proves to be a project. If that happens I look for Rick Jackson of the Toros to get a 10 day contract. Time will out.
