Is there even such a thing as a liberal republican?
In other words, would you rather support a politician who has a similar political ideology as you but hails from the other party, or one who hails from the same party but has a different political ideology?

being that ideology is the civil religion, I tend to judge a man's worth by the lack of it.

Just give me someone who believes in fiscal responsibility and personal liberty. Whatever idealogical labels get assigned to them are of no concern to me.

bull . Repug politicians that are not "pure" and extreme right have been and will continue to be purged from the party, and are constant threat of being "primaried" if they say or vote anything "impure".
