It's just NBA trying to protect its goldmine, Durant's not built like James, his body will break if allowed the same abuse most other superstars received defensively night in & out.
I'm not speaking about his grotesque, bubbly face, tbh..
He's easily the 2nd best player in the NBA, no argument there..however, he receives more preferential treatment than any player during my lifetime, it's difficult to defend him without the refs calling a ticky tack foul, tbh..
Is he the least impressive superstar of all-time? Of this generation?..if not, who is?..

Kobe is a close second, but yeah i would agree on Durant. It's virutally impossible to guard Durant, because the refs will never allow you to guard the guy. Durant get's 2006 dwayne wade treatment every fking game..It's unreal. Even kobe despite dont get this kind of treatment.

I think it's due to the fact that Durant has no muscle or body mass going for him. Guarantee if the refs didn't help him out, Durant wouldn't be that impressive against the hard nosed defenders. , last year in the first two games of the WCF, Stephen Jackson bodied up on Durant and kind of got him in a funk. Durant needs those free throws to be effective. In two years, the ref help will be gone, I can guarantee it

Whatever he's doing he's doing a good job of it. To be randomly picked as the sweetheart of the NBA is pretty special, but he's a tough cover.
