You could tell it was a bunch of names with subpar coaching. When I said back then the Clippers and Thunder were more talented, I was laughed at... well well well
How could you not tbh. best team on paper.. Too bad

Chill the only person that said 70 was artest
Tbh, anyone could see the lack of a bench and the problem with Kobe and Nash on the same team from a mile away...
chemistry > $1000000000000000000000000000000000000000
In the FO's defense both coaches had solid winning percentages and have gone pretty deep on the playoffs a few times. So on paper the coaches weren't bad. Team is just got working tbh, kobe shooting too much .. Offense isn't running through Nash enough. Dwight 5 shots? Wtf lolz
also bench on paper wasnt that bad.. Jamison 19ppg on career, Jordan hill solid, Jodie Meeks 3 pt specialist
it didn't seem that bad.

On the other hand, the warning lights should've come off when D'Antoni was fired for sucking in New York, and that team playing beast ball with a new coach.
Also, any team with Nash is suspect. Especially the last 3 years version of Nash. Not that his numbers aren't shinny, but he gives back a lot of what he produces. Old team. Gasol checked out. Too many red flags, IMO.
He apparently was let go in New York because he is stubborn and Carmelo didn't work with his system.
not because he is a bad coach. His system works when the players want to make it work IMHO.
old I agree tbh
D'Antoni doesn't have the right players for his system in LA
well see what Mitch comes up with.
At least Mike Brown was a legit defensive coach. People focused on the Princeton offense but that was never the Lakers problem, it was always the defense which Dantoni would never fix.
Terrible appointment.
Only a in' idiot (like you) would think Dwight Howard (an overrated monkey with no post game), a 60 year old Steve Nash, a declining Gasol, and an aging Kobe, surrounded by zero depth, youth, and athleticism would be the best team on paper. I told every single one of you morons sucking Mitch's how the Lakers didn't improve over the off-season, but you had too much of Mitch's semen in your eyes to see the truth.
Something ty, like usual?
You happy bro?
How many rings have has Mitch help bring since 2000? Remind me
Seems like you just started watching the nba this season, or you have so much hate for the lakers success over the past decade that the ass pain still hasn't left you.
Theres just too much Kobe going on for that team. He's just the biggest reason why they suck. And Nash gets part of the blame too. He's way too passive. And I don't understand why thw Lakers do not run this play.
Post up your big man and if the double team comes, have them pass the ball out of the double to either Nash, Kobe or Meeks beyond the arc. They are too good of a team to not realize this.
Good points tbh.. But Antoni had a "system" that he is too stubborn to adjust.
Jerry West built the 3 peat Lakers. He signed Shaq, drafted Fisher, Devean George, and Kobe. What did Mitch do beside stand around with that re ed, mongoloid look on his face?
Post-Shaq, he was stumbling over himself trying to put together a decent team, until the teacher bailed out his dumbass with the most lopsided, fixed trade in NBA history.
The teacher wasn't part of the Grizzlies anymore when the trade went down.
West also signed Robert Horry, Rick Fox, and maybe most importantly, brought in Phil Jackson.
way to evade the question..ok so you must of forgotten about 2008-2010.. 3 straight finals , 2 championships..
dude u must be ing delusional.. lopsided? fixed? jerry west handed over the reigns at that time.. so thanks to mitch bringing in ariza/artest and pau at his prime. but the end result was success so idk wtf ur argument is.
Seriously? In terms of talent, this Lakers team is easily a top 5 in the league. Kobe, Dwight, Nash and Gasol are all still top tier players, if pop was coaching this team they would be at least level with Memphis. Sadly, the coaching problem isn't all D'antoni, Kobe has to take significant blame. If you won't respect Phil Jackson (with 9 rings when his book was written) then you really ate uncoachable.
good points.
