lol CoP blaming other players injuries, when his player is the leader of the team and time to shine his skillset pretty much sums it up about him...a fkn choke artists...

as for GINOBOLI is one smart lad, he only plays in games spurs will win, and takes a break with injuries against teams spurs are going to lose with or without his presence...explains why he has the best winning % out of the big 3.....ginoboli is just protecting that stat of his....

Easy to explain. Duncan has the third highest because he has been here the longest and a few years without the other 2 of the big 3. Parker is second highest because he came next. Manu came third. When all three of those players are playing, it increases the winning percentage.

If the Spurs retained Pop's services/system, along with Parker/Leonard/Splitter, they would be similar to today's Nuggets..a perennial 7th/8th seed and 1st round exit..

I don't believe Pop/Parker will stick around after Duncan/Manu retire, tbh, thus leading to a logical and required full rebuild..

That was an important jumper and an open shot. He shouldn't have taken it if he couldn't hit it. They still had time on the clock.
He can hit it, players miss wide open jumpers all of the time its not a given an player makes it. He hit a contested jumper of Ibaka in the home opener to win the game. Its not like he could of tossed in to Duncan and get an score in that series.

I'm suprised someone mentioned Denmon. Even down the road the odds are pretty stacked against him to make a roster, let alone ours.

Hopefully the Spurs will blow it up at the end of next season, and look into trading Parker to a up and coming team that needs a point guard, and veteran presence in which they give us a a solid young player and a 1st rounder in return. From the current way the spurs have their contracts structured it looks like next year will be the last season they go it for all. I just hope Kawhi continues to look promising, and Spurs don't take the route of the Houston Rockets and try to compete year by year but always short of making the playoffs. I don't mind sucking for about two years if it means we will be contenders for 10+ years.

It'll be interesting to see if Parker can truly bear the burden of being a #1 player on a team. If he can, the Spurs will be remain a playoff team into his twilight years. If he can't...may we all fear the demise of the Spurs.

Duncan would still be under contract, doubt they would move Parker if Duncan returns for his final season. Parker would be 32 he is much more valuable to us than another team at that point, I'd doubt anyone would give up a 1st rounder just to have Parker for one season unless they are a playoff team in desperate need of a talented, but aging point guard. The Spurs are still going to be contenders for at least the next two seasons. I Agree that the Rockets way isn't something the Spurs should do. We are gonna need to suck for a couple of seasons to get some top 10 picks (hopefully in good drafts)

Duncan has a player option his 3rd season. I would hope Duncan retires at top with the Spurs either next year or the following year, but Ginobili will be gone after this or next year, and Kawhi Leonard would have to put up at least 15+ ppg to replace Manu's production. Parker looks like he isn't slowing down anytime soon, for a nice expering contract to a team that could possibly put up a solid regular season record and give us a middle to late first round pick I think that would be more then fair unless Parker deals with injuries and numbers start to decline.
