Good trade for the Grizzlies financially. They're very low on numbers now, though.

Shows how great it can be for a rebuilding team to keep cap space available if teams want to dump contracts. They've got a couple good players and a pick for nothing

It allows them to play Wroten more whilst being in a position to take back players for another trade down the line, considering a 1 for 1 trade involving Gay is farfetched.

Cleveland OTOH gets an upgrade at bench. Ellington might be their new starting SG.

    Irving/(Gibson/Livingston)
    Ellington/Waiters
    Gee/Miles/L. Wltn
    Thompson/Speights/Jones
    Zeller/Speights

    that's a nice ball club.

If they are trying to avoid the tax I don't see how they can pay Allen if he wants market value. He's easily worth the MLE for such an elite defender.

At least the Gay and Randolph trade rumors should be shelved until June. I think this trade means the Grizz are trying to make a run with what they have.

They're no longer desperate to move Gay though, because with this trade they go under the lux tax, I believe. I like this trade much more for the Grizzlies than for Cleveland, but I guess they needed a big after Varejao went down. Cleveland should have milked a 1st round pick out of this.

Decent trade, probably means there won't be a Gay/Randolph for Gasol/World Peace bull trade now

Emiliano Carchia ‏@SportandoBasket According to @ChrisVernonShow the Grizzlies will sign Sasha Vujacic today. The Slovenian is playing for Anadolu Efes Istanbul

    ** update:

Sasha Vujacic won't leave Anadolu Efes Istanbul to join Memphis Grizzlies. No offers to the player, no offers to Efes, no NBA out

Sasha Vujacic is staying in Istanbul with Anadolu Efes. Via @ismailsenol

Chris Vernon ‏@ChrisVernonShow @DraftExpress tell me about Joe Ingles - grizz considering him and told he could get out of contract.

Grizzlies ready to sign Bill Walker and Delonte West

Good move, they need more shooters. Their best shooter with Ellington in Cleveland and Pondexter on the injured list is Mike Conley.

Looks like Delonte West, Bill Walker, and Sasha Vujacic are not coming to Memphis.

Walker is out of shape, Vujacic is under contract with Turkey.

Now that the ans' season is over Chris Johnson decided to help the Grizzlies fill a roster spot for 10 days.
