not bad, obviously not everyone can be in.
bit surprised at boozer over deng, but boozer has been good this year, and offence matters more for AS

According to upstairs these are simply Kamla's picks no?
LMAO Bosh over Chandler
Nice to see ma man Holiday get some recognition
Not official, only Kamla's dumb picks tbh.
I was about to say... Ibaka has no business being an all-star. Glad this isn't official.
Kamla sucks .. he loves ball I guive him that ..but he needs to stick to fantasy hoops.
Compton's finest (Chandler) should be in ...... and no Grizzlies is absolutely crazy. This is the main reason why fans should not vote. Kobe's doing the same that Monta Ellis did in Golden State and Kevin Martin did in Sacramento - put up great numbers on a ty team. Same with Howard. No Lakers should be on the all-star team. How can you be an all-star on a 17-24 sinking ship? Spots should easily be for Z Bo/Gasol and I'd give Kobe's spot to Jamal Crawford.
It either matters or it doesn't matter. To me it doesn't matter because it's a popularity contest, not an elite level selection. It's the fans voting for who they want to see, not who's been playing the best basketball.
Agree. Its a flawed system but it is what it is.
Bosh is easily better Chandler
I would be all for the AS teams being decided by coaches and writers instead of American Idol style.
The only thing I disagree with is Ibaka over Z-Bo, and leaving off Pierce..
Well, there's a reason the game is called all STAR game, not all BEST game. You don't really have to be among the best to be called a star nowadays.![]()
Miami would be hands-on favorites to win the le if they swapped Bosh for Chandler.
Its stupid to argue who should and should not be on the team when the first 5 spots are given away as a popularity contest. If it was done by coaches and writers, there'd by none or minimal be argument because everyone deserving player would be there.
We all know who should and shouldn't be there.
reserves have a better team than the starters tbh
I kinda figure they are already odds on (hands on?) favorites.
would look weird w/o dirk tbh. seems the west is about to present 3 thunder players plus an ex thunder in the form of harden, which's a clear indication who's gonna coach the western team. westchuck might deserve a spot there but there's no way in it should include the two biggest fake tough guys that harden & ibaka are tbh
I disagree with this in premise. From little league up through college level play, all star selections are based on performance (unless you're the coach's son). You get to the NBA and it's a vote contest to see which team has the most fans. We already know the answers to that.
The AS game, on any level, was designed in the spirit of compe ion of the best of the best. It was a way to reward those who perform at the top levels the recognition and give the fans something to witness. In the NBA it's a popularity contest, and that has nothing to do with talent or performance (which is how Yao Ming got in without even playing a game). I think it's a broken system, but Stern isn't going to take the votes away from the fans even though that would legitimize the AS game. Basketball is my favorite spectator sport, but their AS game is a joke.
