Likewise.
I'm in transit (actually on a flight to Houston right now) and don't like to post from my phone or Kindle.
Hope to make it back for tonight's game and post some thoughts after that.
Closet TP fan
at least we have Splitter
most likely Duncan's knee is a concern. He will sit 2 of the last 4? The good news is Spurs will be ubber cautious with him and most likely he'll play through it rest of the season although not 100%
worrying about it now is a waste of time imo. This is not 2003. LOL ppl throwing computers around
This sucks. I had figured KL would miss a game but Duncan too?
TP will have to play hard, the back-up pgs have to not mess up, the bench has to not suck, and the remaining bigs have to step up. Problem is that NOH is pretty fast iirc so I'm not sure how Bonner will do without any additional space. Hopefully Manu plays well.
It's definitely not good news, but hopefully it's all just precautionary wrt Duncan's knee. Either way praying baby is now on the case. Pray for the health of our guys praying baby!!
Praying baby says, "Thy will be done."
Yeah, the back to back is later on though so why not then? I didn't expect it tonight.
Best Duncan season six years looking back.
It's my computer and I can throw it whenever I want

I was worried when I saw Timmy limping, but hopefully he just needs some rest. as amazing as he is, he's still 36 with lots of mileage. I think he'll be fine but signing Baynes seems more important than before.
Not worried, first time this season is sitting due to injury, he could use the extra imho
This is a problem as far ad Timmy is concerned. If they just wanted to rest him, then they would have done so on the b2b , not tonight. Add that to the fact that he was hobbling around last night, and I'm slightly worried. The only silver lining is how well he played last night and how solid he was on the block.
We have to be really cautious with Tim. I'd be cool with giving him some extended rest to let it pass.
I'm cool with the rest and being cautious, especially given the potential for exacerbating previous injuries. But it sucks that it happened right after he started to regain his jumper and get back his offensive flow. It also brings the possibility of Manu coming back too soon and aggravating his own injury or worse.
Playing Timmy in 3 straight b2b's after that 250k seems like a pretty foolish move by Pop now. I didn't want him playing in any b2bs this season tbh.
Agreed
Ugh. People hate Pop for resting on b2bs then love him for it. Then they claim Duncan hasn't played enough throughout the year, then they claim he's played too much. Just stop.
Spurs are in a virtual tie for first in the west. I'd be okay with shutting him down for a month if it allows him to play at this kind of level in the postseason. The Spurs have no shot with a Timmy that's 75% in the playoffs.
I hope something that drastic isn't necessary, but I would be very content to see him get a few games off here and there, when the schedule is particularly rough. It's always good for the rest of the guys to be forced to play without the amazing safety net Timmy provides.
Health is obviously first priority, especially with Tim. But I really think the Spurs need the first seed to have a legit chance of making it to the Finals. It's a catch-22 for me. I want Tim and others to rest if they need it, but I also want the Spurs to win games and secure homecourt. Hopefully they can do both like last season.
I'm assuming you're talking about Spurfan in general. I've been firmly in the rest > wins category for about 5 years now tbh.
HC is kind of over-rated. The seedings matter of course so the road to the finals is easier but Spurs had HC last year and in the critical game 5 at home lost.. Healthy TD is all that matters, HC or not.. Just try and stay in the top 3..
I don't believe Timmy has a sore knee, that's bull . I think it's another game that Pop going to give away, like he did in New Orleans. Because then we'll drop to 3 cause he doesn't want to coach the ASG. He rather have Vinny have it.
Timmy just is too busy opening up his new auto shop.
Cant be bothered with preparing for a game tonight. More important things to do!

Understood. But rank the following:
Homecourt throughout, hobbled Tim Duncan
5th seed, everyone healthy, Duncan playing like he did for the first half of the season.
Damn. Hopefully it's just a precaution sitting Tim out. At least they only play tonight, Friday, and Saturday and then don't play again until next Wednesday...
