Parker's always been pretty honest. Hopefully, he's right again.
"It's nothing major, that's the main thing. I think he's going to miss the game in Dallas and then he'll be back. So it's good rest for him."
I don't think it's great news but it's certainly far from the worst news. By missing these two games, Duncan'll have P L E N T Y of rest before the Rodeo Road Trip. Hopefully it's just a rest gameplan and nothing more.

Nothing major on a bad knee can get major in a hurry...
Might depend on which knee as well. I didn't notice.
They obviously aren't going to make him play a b2b with a sore knee. No matter how minor it is.
Parker just said that Tim Duncan might not play against the Mavericks on Friday.
Duncan took a few hard falls in that game against Philadelphia so he most likely fell on it hard or tweaked it going down to the ground or something. I don't think its some sort of knee problem that's been nagging him and all of a sudden its flaring up. I saw him hit the deck more then a few times in that Philly game so it probably happened on one of those plays.
We should sign Finley for the Mavs game so he can guard Dirk![]()
They're gonna need him in Dallas, that sucks.
No MRI right??? Maybe Pop can't use 'DNP Old' anymore
Too bad he wasn't honest with Eva, tbh.
CIA Pop told Duncan to walk with a limp near the end of the Philly game to make sure they don't get fined![]()
lol Brent doesn't think so
Aw man, I'm going to the Dallas game
I agree w/ the decision though. He should be playing the home portion of a road-home b2b. It allows him a greater rest period and it's fair to the fans in SA.
I was going to go to Friday's game. Looks like I'll have to call up my lawyer and sue the Spurs.
Yep, thats a sure loss now IMO.
Ah damn, I live in Dallas and bought tickets to the Spurs game this Friday...Tim is my favorite player and I was really hoping to see him.
Is it possible that the Spurs are just lying about his injury? It seems plausible in light of the fact that they were fined earlier this season for resting uninjured players.
Lets hope it's not major and it's just extra rest for him.
You should file a lawsuit.
For those fretting about Duncan's availability in Friday's game, Parker did say "I think" so who knows.
But I'm sure the Spurs would like to play it safe.
Serious question.... Should I hire Wayne wright or Jim "the Texas hammer" Adler to assist me with my lawsuit against the spurs?
Nah, I would support the team's decision, but it would be awesome if he plays. I think we win either way.
But I still suspect he's not really injured.
