Is ESPN still seriously pretending that Te'o was the victim here? Phone records in microsoft excel? Why the couldn't he send actual phone records from AT&T so we know they're authentic.

Manti's life seemed like a remake of Brian's Song for a while, then it turned all conspiracy crazy Oliver Stone on us. But now it's like White Chicks.
It blows my mind how poorly he has handled this after the hoax coming out (pun intended). Assuming he has PR people - the BEST move they could come up with to tell Couric was "PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES"....... Wow.

Proof positive that it's all still part of the "look at me, I'm a victim" act. If he was both smart and not an attention , all he had to do was give a 30 second press conference to say "I was duped, I'm horribly embarrassed and I'm never going to talk about this ever again" and then go into hiding until the draft combine.

I can't access the file at work but my first thought is Te'o and his buddies have had a week to make fake phone records and voicemails.

Yeah, they've had weeks to make fake voicemails and such. Show his official phone records before I believe this crap. Not some spreadsheet that anybody can make showing phone calls.
