Well most businesses receive funding.....
Be it from goods sold, services rendered, government contracts or other sources.

Yes, but I was trying to get clarification of what he meant. In my experience, the term "funding" usually means grants, or some other subsidy.
Still, there are a lot of people looking for work. I placed an ad this morning about 11am for an entry level training position and stressed that it was hot, hard, dirty work and already have 16 resumes. Some clearly won't work but I was still surprised at the number. Out of those I have narrowed it down to about six so far on the first cut. I expect to get a lot more responses tonight.
^Is it a low skill/no skill job? There's a shortage of those in every state while there are tons of skill jobs that have been unfilled for months. The ty labor force America has is a big problerm![]()
It's a skilled position but I don't expect to hire someone off the street with 100% of what I need so I will train if they have good basics and I like them. Involves, cutting, welding, (code type welding) mechanical skills, some electrical/controls work, critical thinking to solve problems, etc. Not for everyone but I have a really tight team. I've only had one guy quit in 20 years but that was to take a traveling job putting up cell phone towers that paid stupid money in exchange for never being home.
LOL despite the hatred for me from the fuzzy/blake/chumps/boo/etc. I'm really a pretty good guy and people like working with me.
Have you interviewed Cobra yet?
ElNono: childish
I was shooting for sarcasm... oh well, tough crowd
LOL...
He couldn't pay me enough to move to Texas. Not saying it's a bad place, it's just that the Pacific North-West is home.
Besides, when I did weld, in the 70's, I wasn't that good at it.
CC i'm still waiting for my application to process. you better be one of those bosses who brings out a cooler at the end of the day.
I can totally see CC being one of those "vote for this guy or else you all might be out of a job" type of guy![]()
Which just proves AGAIN how stupid you are.
Dude, you are too cultured to get down and dirty like that with the blue collars. You travel the world tasting fine wine and pussy.
I just turned down a programming job which is a good sign since I wasn't even looking, they came to me. The impression I get from my techie friends is that things are good but not awesome. For my blue collar friends things seem to be booming. Real work usually gets the ball rolling for the rest of us so I think good times are ahead for Texas.
I'm working at a medical imaging startup. We get funding from multiple sources but that is not my side of things.
And you weren't trying to get clarification. That goes along the lines of "where do you get funding from?" You were just being your typical ignorant self.
I don't hate you. I just think you are irresponsible in your voting because you are selfish and don't really give a what comes after. I get the impression that you could be entertaining and genial when you want to be but that is neither here nor there. You are a caricature of your generation really.
If you say so Agloco.
That's how I view liberals who vote.
This. I get unsolicited calls from recruiters (for legit jobs) because of my skill set.
dont think ive always done that. ive earned my keep before doing blue collar work on ranches.
Fuzzy isn't agloco, fuzzy is tsa
