So happy Tim And Tony are in! But Duncan should be starting! Howard is garbage! With the way he plays trying to use his athletic abilities, his knees wont last four more years!
Howard could skip the game with his shoulder injury, the spurs could also have Pop as the coach.

In retrospect Duncan was no brainier (Dirk, K Love both missed a ton of time and Gasol playing like he was he was out to lunch) 17.5 pts, 9.8 rpg, 2.7 bpg, ball so hard indeed.

Howard out injured, Pop starts Duncan, then sits him and TP at the first timeout for the rest of the game. Make it so, Pop!

    Knees . . . Shoulders . . . At ude . . .

He's Clark Kent and he's stuck in the eternal phone booth known as the LA Lakers.

Howard is just another guy the media jumped all over because he is flashy and had nice stats but he will never win a damn thing.. As soon as he leaves the game he will be quickly forgotten..

Curry > Aldridge .... but Golden State got Lee in so not that bad of a snub. Two Warriors might have been overboard.
What does that matter? This is the type of foolish logic that led to Pierce getting snubbed in favor of Deng.

I'd have went Curry over Aldridge too, but the biggest snub by far was B. Lopez.

Reading a lot about how it should have been Curry over Parker. You mean, instead of Randolph or Aldridge? That makes no sense to me, just another case of Parker being underrated.

I was honestly hoping both would get left out. Duncan needs to stay fresh and Parker would use a snub as motivation to tear it up the rest of the year.

Congrats to both for the well-deserved nods though.

Meh. Duncan will probably only play 3 minutes total. And Parker still tore it up after making last year.

Majestic, until somebody shows the original with Tim Duncan's feet only two inches off the ground. Regardless....nice pic.

Suns up 3 on the Clippers in the 4th with 7:25 left, with a loss they go to 32-12 (Spurs currently 34-11) impact on who coaches West all stars.

Lopez should be in there for sure. Whether he replaces Deng or KG, he deserves a spot. Curry absolutely needs a spot in the West. Tbh, most of my Laker fan friends don't think Dwight deserved a spot this year. I'd agree

Congrats to TD and TP, it's well deserved for both.

Suns up 3 on the Clippers in the 4th with 7:25 left, with a loss they go to 32-12 (Spurs currently 34-11) impact on who coaches West all stars.
Clippers lost. If Spurs win 2 of their next 3 (@Mavs, Suns and Bobcats), Pop will coach the west regardless of what Clippers do. I don't really care about all star but it would be nice to have Pop coaching Duncan and Parker. It should be also funny.

Same for Ibaka and JR Smith.

Coaches have done a great job at picking all star. You can make a case for Curry and Lopez but it's not like they clearly deserve to be in instead of another player.

Just good to see Tim getting the respect he deserves.

Yes, I know he probably doesn't give two s at this point, and could use the rest, but still....this is Tim ing Duncan we are talking about. The last ASG, as frivolous as it is, just felt wrong without the Big Fundamental in it.

Exactly. The easy one to nit-pick is Aldridge, but considering he is averaging 20 and 8 (better than Duncan, Griffin, and Howard)...that would be an awful big penalty to leverage just because the rest of his team is weighing him down.

Lee, who was the other pick who "got Curry's spot", is doing 20 and 11. Randolph is only doing 16 and 12, but Memphis has done well enough to deserve a pick and, despite the Kyrie Irving pick, winning does factor into these decisions.

I think what it boiled down to, is that Golden State already got one player (which is good for a middle of the pack team), and that the West team was already pretty heavy with guards and wings (Durant, Paul, Kobe, Parker, Westbrook, Harden).

Curry is top 3 in three-point shooting though, so hopefully he will get a shot at the 3-point contest and get to be there, at least.
