Who watched the interview? One of my questions concerns that Diane O'Meara chick. Are we supposed to believe she was willingly giving out pictures of herself to a guy (Tuiasosopo) who she hadn't talked to since high school and deemed "weird"? The media has seemingly dismissed this chick as part of the equation.

Tuiasosopo is definitely gay, there's not even a question about it, which makes it more likely Te'o is gay.

I think she sent Tuiasosopo one picture. And from what I recall from the deadspin article, he called her out of the blue and told her that one of his sick friends found her cute and he asked her to send him a picture with a sign saying something like SMK or whatever. And she did it. I'm guessing the rest of the pictures, Tuiasosopo just stole directly from her facebook page, which means she didn't just willingly gave them to him.

There is only one way t find out for sure, and Te'o can't answer that question with a 100% positive answer that it was in fact a female.

I just found it odd that a girl would give a picture of herself to a guy who she hadn't talked to in years no matter what the cir stances are. She eventually complied with Tuiasosopo's request despite admitting he came across as weird.

While odd, it certainly seems plausible. Plausible, which is more than what can be said about a lot of the other so-called "facts" in the story. The article also says all the other pictures--all but this one picture--were stolen directly from her facebook page.That photo hadn't appeared on the internet—at least, not to Reba's knowledge. She had taken it in December 2012 and sent it directly to an old high school acquaintance. The two hadn't talked since graduation, but the classmate, whom Reba remembered fondly, contacted her on Facebook with a somewhat convoluted request: His cousin had been in a serious car accident, and he had seen her photos before and thought she was pretty. Would she be so kind as to take a picture of herself holding up a sign reading "MSMK," to put in a slideshow to support the cousin's recovery? (He didn't explain what MSMK meant, and Reba still doesn't know.) Baffled but trusting, Reba made the sign and sent along the photo.
Tuiasosopo is getting paid to take the fall. The money is what he wanted all along with the resurrection call in December, I bet.
In 10 years he'll write a book or do the interview circuit discussing the gay ruse.

Tuiasosopo tried to protect his boyfriend with the fake girlfriend story and is now trying to protect his boyfriend by taking the fall.

One of the lingering questions regarding the question-plentiful Manti Te’o imbroglio arises from the decision to delay disclosing the fake dead girlfriend story long enough to be scooped by Deadspin.
A league source tells PFT that the reason, as these reasons often do, arises from dollars and cents.
Te’o's camp, per the source, was attempting aggressively to nail down marketing deals before the story broke, with among other things major shoe and apparel companies. There was reluctance to proceed, given Te’o's struggles in the BCS national le game and the uncertainty as to whether he’ll be playing for a high-profile team or a franchise that is an NFL afterthought.

The early December call was an extortion plot. Why not earn money to take the fall for a weird, but not illegal ruse, make money, become infamous and a gay celebrity.
Tuiasosopo basically confirms my theory that the death was a no-questions asked escape route.
Te'o has already lied about meeting Lennay at the Stsnford game, to his parents about the two "meeting" in Hawaii, and to the media post December phone call about the initial death stories.
He's clearly a liar. Not a stretch to deduce he was in on it for similar reasons as Tuiasosopo.
