lol ClipperNation
lol Ron Paul
Barkley should post on Spurstalk with his constant "tbh-ing", tbh..
Vinny del Dumb derailing our season with his coaching the minute CP3 goes down
GTFO so we can get a real coach in here
lol "this is a good team w/o cp3, sons"
lol la kings
ron paul the only good thing comin out of texas tbh
Thunder got ONCE AGAIN showing his complete hypocrisy... if this was a Thunder loss, you'd be crying about
haters celebrating our losses
or
just regular season
and don't even try to deny it, son...
Clips are good, but CP3 IS that team. They're like the Nets of the early millennium with/without Jason Kidd. Take away Kidd, and that team was in the cellar.
Bledsoe is a decent point guard, and Crawford can create his own shot, but beyond that, everybody else relies on Paul. Especially monkey-ball Griffin, who suddenly looks incredibly ordinary when he doesn't have Paul to draw double-teams and lob him dunks.
Not saying the Clippers aren't a good team. Just saying, you can't expect a car to go very far without its engine.
He actually was pretty decent with those guys on TNT. They got along really well unlike Shaq though.
The ESPN guys are making him analyze and god is he awful.
Not gonna say anything really. I mean we did lose to them pelicans.
Gotta defend my team when I can son, what can I say?.
Real talk; bad loss by your squad - cant have losses like these to bottom feeder teams while you all try to stay in the three-team race for #1 seed.
"Monkeyball" Griffin actually didn't do too badly without CP3 the last couple games, he just had a bad night tonight....
Clippers have the same problem as Miami, re: coaching..
They don't have a system, they rely entirely on talent, Paul is the leader on the team and the coach on the floor, similar to Lebron/Wade..Billups' leadership will help as well, but he probably doesn't have any game left..
I don't think Paul can elevate to Lebron's level, though..
jet with the truths about how playing for the clips can be a mental problem to one's game
He doesn't need to though. That team is plain dumb and when him & Billups come back, it'll put them on par with OKC. The Spurs need some one who can guard Durant to stand a chance and from the way he's getting to the line, i don't think S Jack can body him up like he did Dirk back in the days.
if the refs let playoff basketball be playoff basketball we'll be fine.
......... but we talkin bout them thunderefs so nvm.
lmao this team is supposed to contend for the le? Beat Miami?
I'm as glad as anybody to watch the Clips lose and gain a little distance in the standings, but this is hardly a death knell....they were without their best player, and any NBA team can lose to any other NBA team on any given night (except the Cavs, that is just embarrassing...lol Lakers)
I dunno why people get surprised at like this still.
There's definitely parity in the NBA regular season. Maybe not as far as true le contenders, but outside of the Bobcats there's no atrocious teams in the NBA this year.
very true.... everyone except them LOLakers could win on any given night.
I seriously believe the Thunder, Spurs, and Heat are the only contenders...
I just think the Clippers are a bit quasi-contender to me, I don't like being led by a PG, their defensive rebounding is poor and depth becomes less relevant in the playoffs.
Can someone explain to me who watches the Spurs more why they can't beat the Thunder??..
They can, especially with Harden out of the picture.
Reasons the Thunder cause problems for the Spurs:
1) Durant....enough said. He causes problem for every team. The Spurs have a couple of guys to sic on him...Leonard and Jackson in particular...but you still aren't going to stop a guy like KD....Personally, I feel like if anybody is going to take the next MJ crown, it's him.
2) OKC has the bigs to bother what the Spurs want to do...Ibaka and Perkins are a formidable inside combo. Everybody knows if you can keep Parker and Ginobili out of the lane, the Spurs become beatable.
3) The Thunder live in the areas that the Spurs are weak...aka mid-range and three-point shooting.
Reason the Spurs can beat the Thunder:
1) Relating to the third part of the previous section....teams that live and die by the jumper are always vulnerable. The general consesus is that teams won't be able to shoot their way out of a 7-game series...OKC did it last year, can they do it again? Can Ibaka have another 11-11 game in him?
2) Tim Duncan is having a fountain-of-youth season, giving the Spurs a a low-post presence the Thunder sorely lack. That usually bodes well for one team, I'll let you figure out which one it is.
3) As mentioned before, no more James Harden to cancel out Manu Ginobili off the bench.
4) Can lightning strike twice? The Thunder beat the Spurs last year, but they had to shoot well above their regular season averages from mid-range and three-point to do it. If they can repeat that performance, all you can do is take your hat off to them.
i started to write a small dissertation but ill give you the short story.
our role players arent good enough. Tony hasnt figured out Sefalosha. No consistent Post scoring from bigmen. Backup PG situation is woeful. seeming inability to guard Ibaka midrange J. and Thunderefs are called ThundeREFS for a reason, Tbh. now its not impossible for us to beat the thunder, but a few things would have to go our way, including westbrook doing his best Rudy Gay impersonation, Kevin Martin shrinking in playoffs, and SOMEONE outside of big 3 stepping up on offense consistently. Stephen Jackson almost singlehandedly did it last year so its not impossible. maybe it will be Kawhi this year like we all hope.
I see a lot of "Timmy resurgence" stuff but unless he starts playin 40 minutes a night i dont see it from him. he cant "impose his will" on Perkins enough for us to ride him all series like them 2003 days.
