They must practice those. Whoever receives the pass is in perfection position for it.
how many has he had this season ? it seems he does it once every 5 games (random figure hehe) anybody keepin count?
GIF please of all the times he did it !!!

I feel like he has been throwing one nearly every game. He and James Harden are the only guys that do it... it really is an amazing play.
It's a very difficult play to pull off (especially at the NBA level) but Manu makes it look routine. In order to make it work, you can't really fix your eyes on where you are going to pass it or the defender will read it. So basically it's a no-look between-the-legs pass that's got to be accurate.
And speaking of, Manu hasn't been getting enough minutes tonight for my liking.
As for the pass the amazing thing is I heard a recent interview with him saying that can be an easier pass than the regular pass around someone (yeah right Manu). He has been doing it a lot recently. In fact by the end of the season there will be enough to make a compilation video of it
.
here's a couple in the last few weeks.
will surely be waiting for that compilatiom sir![]()
Hes be NutMeggin alota guys lately!!!
Quality first post. Bold him!
I hope it's a nice treatment. I'm french and not sure of what it means. Yet, I suppose my post was quite good, no ?
I've been reading things around here and decided to step up by posting.
Excellent work!
And about the nutmeg pass, what happens if the passer misjudges and either fires it directly into the defender's crotch or it bounces up into that area? Is it an offensive foul?
The reason that pass is so effective is that the other defenders assume that the guy who got nutmegged was cutting off the passing lane. It's effectively a pass through a defender, and help defenders understandably assume that it is impossible.
The ultimate evolution of this would be to nutmeg a teammate. A defender won't play a passing lane that isn't there, and the teammate will be expecting it. This would be much more effective passing into a corner for a 3 rather than hitting a cutter to the basket, because the secondary defender wouldn't be in the way.
Boy you sure have high standards.
He got that off of Reddit.
I'm just bitter because he beat me to posting it.
Still, welcome!![]()

It all happens so fast that I doubt they have a signal, but somehow the teammate who gets the pass from Manu always catches the ball without fumbling or being surprised. They have to have almost eerie awareness that he might try it.
Sorry about that![]()
That's because in almost every example Manu puts the ball precisely where they would most expect it and can most easily access it. Manu truly is a master magician with the ball in his hands. And when I think about it, Bill Simmons was actually off by a factor of 10. Because I would say there will be at least 100 more Dwayne Wade's before we'll see another Manu Ginobili.
Hopefully we'll see one of these passes tonight. Manu is awesome! Who can do this but him?
Manu's probably the only one on the team with Pop's permission to make these kinds of plays. If Neal were to do it, he'd be traded the next day.
